In 2002, McDonald's released 8 happy meal toys: 4 Armada Autobots, and 4 Armada Decepticons. In general, all 8 toys are pretty simple by TF toy standard, but they are surprisingly complex for a "happy meal toy". They are all roughly as big as a Scout class figure, but pretty chunk and heavy, heavier than most modern Deluxe figures. Mighty Vehicle is a vehicular combiner formed by the 4 core Armada Decepticons: 1) Megatron: transforms in 6 steps, has a rotating turret in alt mode and 7 points of articulation, with more leg articulation than its Gigacon version. Gimmick: push the turret on its back to activate a "punching action" motion for its right arm. 2) Starscream: jumpstarter (1 step), two blocks of plastic with a spring inbetween. Gimmick: roll back, release and let it run forward and, maybe, transform by itself. 3) Demolishor: 7 steps, 5 points of articulation, gimmick: pop-off arm, by pressing a button on the front. 4) Cyclonus: 5 steps, 2 points of articulation (elbows or shoulders?), gimmick: push forward, with friction the spinning of the orange blades will increase enough to let a "cyclone" take off. Combing the 4 robots with their powerlinx ports gives you... Mighty Vehicle Reasonably stable, and probably a lot of fun for children. Clearly superior to Mighty Robot. I give Mighty Vehicle 10/10 for its value, and 2/10 for the nutritional impact of making children get all its components, for an average of 6/10.
Maaaannn... If those came out today Id totally collect them all. Those are not bad for happy meal toys.
