So, having signed up with the club last June I believe, well after the deadline to receive last year's Skyfall (?) exclusive, this is my free figure for joining up right?

*goes off to look for Skyfall on Ebay like probably 500 other people*

 

Where's the so-called re-tooling that the figures would be getting? It's just another repaint really.

Not saying I don't like it, I was just under the impression that more would be done to the last 4 figures than simple recolours?

 

It looks kind of nice. I like the colors.

Sooo umm, weren't remolds promised for figures after the first one? Because the first one was rushed?

I think it looks rather nice. However, I'm a bit surprised that this wasn't revealed on the member's only site first. Still, that's a minor factor.

I'm even more surprised that it appears that this figure is still a Decepticon. We look to be getting a mixed-allegiance combiner. Would certainly be a first. Could be rather interesting....

And, yes, if there ARE any remolds, I can't tell either. But that's nowhere near as big a deal to me.

I still wonder about the "remold" mentioned last year... a change in the insignia could be just fine, a remolded head and/or gun would be even better... what about a package this time? does other MC clubs with free toys gets packages? i kinda remember that Skyfall didnt got one either thanks to time

its another STRAIGHT REPAINT???? even though we were told that only the first would be? and ontop of it all they kept him a decepticon? so we now have 1 Autobot and 1 Decepticon on the same team?

I believe Autobot. Anyways, I think it looks nice. Sad there's no remold though, unless I missed something...

 

It's barely been a half-hour, and the whining is already deafening....

As to the "why is it a Decepticon?" Let's just wait and see. It could be a rather interesting story.

 

His colors look alot like Alpha Trion from a distance.

Why is the pic on the main page?!?!

I for one would've liked to have had my first image of the figure when I open his box. I don't mean to criticize the 2005 staff, but I don't really feel this should've happened. I would've appreciated the main page to have no pic, and a spoiler warning. I don't see how this is any different than posting an image of unicrons head for the upcoming hasbro primus, or should we expect that on the main page next? Thanks for the spoiler guys.

I must apologize for this outburst, as I have now seen that it was master collector who mass released the pic of the figure on their main page, and nobody here at tfw2005 is at fault. I would have rather seen him for the first time in either the newsletter, or an e-mail from MC, or by opening the figure myself, but I suppose that since MC did it this way, there's no use in complaining. Again, my apologies.  

 

I like the deco. I also like that it's consistent with Skyfall's colors.

I find it odd that it's a decepticon, though. Guess we'll have to wait for the comic to understand how that works out for the combined form.

Most of all, I'm underwhelmed the figure doesn't seem to have remolded pieces. I don't remember if it was someone from the council (Pete, Rik or Karl) or if it was Brian himself who stated that the first freebie didn't have remolded parts due to time. (I'm pretty sure Nevermore will be able to dig out the threads quicker than I can, so I won't bother to look for them.)

Back then, the general guess was that the next 4 freebies would get remolds. This is like Dirge all over again.

If you're a member, you can buy Skyfall off of the club store for $20 + shipping. Whether you can get a better price on eBay, I don't know, but I'd be surprised.
