Interesting to see the conversation about symmetry coming up in here, we've been having a similar debate in house about the tyres.

Just waiting for full pictures so I can do a proper update through the KS tomorrow (and probably a poll too), but do you guys think it's more important for the tyres to be symmetrical on the robot mode, or for the tread on the tyres to be functional in alt. mode with asymmetry on the robot mode?

Personally I think functional is most important, seeing a bike with tyre tread facing the wrong way would absolutely bug me.

Tires should be correct in bike mode.

If it really bothers someone that much, couldn't they just remove the tire/wheel and flip it?

You guys think how I think.

There is a screw cover in place on the internal leg, but yeah you could feasibly flip it. I don't know how complex the internal leg mechanism is though. Might be worth me playing about with the TS to see.

Also, side note, the TS is stunningly good. We thought we'd messed up for the display as we didn't bring a glue gun to pose the TS (as was necessary with the hardcopy and advised for most early TS), however just a tiny amount of blu-tack was needed for a couple of arm joints. The legs and hips hold amazingly well as do the elbow and hands. All bodes very well thus far.

    Functional.
I'm fine with asymmetry and will likely use different chest plates instead of matching ones.

The display looked great, would never have noticed the blutack at all.

Functional all the way, asymmetry is the best symmetry.

Function. I LIKE a little asymmetry. Most functional things aren't totally symmetrical (humans included).

Seems like an unnecessary effort to make the tire pattern symmetrical in both modes.

Though I have to ask, what does functional thread in alt mode mean? Free spinning wheel? That would be the priority.

Ah... then, yes, the smarter mover is to make the bike look correct.

Test shot is looking great!! Can't wait for these to be released :)

On the tires. I vote for asymmetry in my transformations/robots. Adds character and flair.

On updates. I think a quarterly update is appropriate. Even a "nothing major to report but minor progress continues" update is cool.

These are going to be so much fun. Congrats on being one step closer to release CZ! :)

    Totally agree.

Update going out on the KS today, but thought I'd give you guys a sneak peak of them and the visible tyre choices.
