How is anyone ever sure that a figure is 100% "worth it" without holding it in their hands first? It's definitely a gamble... I can't speak for Oursisthefury but I usually take the gamble and just accept that I may risk loosing $ if I decide the figure's not worth it. The short-term gain is the purchase of "limited" figures at a reasonable price.

That's fair. Generally, I'd look for reviews from multiple reviewers, especially from ones who have similar tastes to mine and/or ask a ton of questions of people that have the thing in hand. So even though I might end up with figures that I don't always think are the best thing ever, I'm generally never truly disappointed with my purchase and feel like it wasn't worth it.

I'm just more risk adverse than to roll the dice on three fairly expensive figures that I might not like. That takes some cajones!

Or a fair bit of foolishness... but, that's not an unfair assessment of my decisions (some days).

The reason I got the three pack was because I really liked the black/orange prospect, but I also think Otomo is awesome looking and bc it is exclusive I wanted to get it. Worst case I figure I can sell the figures I don't want on eBay. But like the preious poster said it is always a risk. One of my favorite figures is MMC Carnifex and I took a risk on it and glad I did. I also took another risk on Warbotron Computron and I didn't like it and ended up selling him.

Dude I backed the Kickstarter at the triple threat level because I really wanted those 2 as well, and now that I have them in hand the Spector General is my favorite. Funny how things work out.

If you're an MMC fan you'll like these guys. Great quality and really unique.

Hey, does anyone know what color/type of paints were used back when they had the painted prototype? I want to paint the Prospect in the orange/yellow!

Just got my Triple Threat pack today, and I've got another Bastard and Spector Rogue coming from BBTS in my next POL. Absolutely LOVE these figures, they've got better handfeel than nearly anything I've messed with in a long time.

How long did it take you to receive the triple pack?

I agree with pretty much all of this. I love my bastard and have been really looking forward to the enforcers but given my budget and space constraints, won't be able to justify going in on these unless there is significant "Wow" in the design. And the original sketches had it in spades. The renders.... not so much. Being honest, if the render ends up being what is offered as the final product, I'll probably pass.

But hey, I'm just one dude. In addition to @Tiller that is.

I did a little weathering on my Burley. Sadly, it doesn't always show up the best in pics, but I think it really fits the figure. These guys shouldn't be clean and new.

And just today, I realized you can get a decent gerwalk mode out of him.

Sorry for the sideways pictures. I have no idea why they turned when I uploaded them.

That gerwalk mode actually looks really good and more realistic than most. Nice find!

Thanks! I credit how fun this figure is for fiddling. It demands to be posed and played with.

I do have a question that may be important for customization.
The paint used on the faces, does it come off with 90% alcohol?

I didn't take any off; I only added, so I can't directly answer your question.

But they DO throw in a couple of extra faces that you're probably never going to use with every figure, so they make great test cases. I know I used a spare Iride face to try out some ideas I wound up using on Burley.

    Thanks.

I'm planning on populating a 'Rogues' gang, and was thinking about how best to strip the Lt's face so it can be painted for different 'patched recruits'.

    Finally got my bikes together.
The riders work great on PE Arcee and Black Arachnia.
Also messed with my new heads and stuff. Removed some mirrors.
    Still enjoying these guys.

I've been enjoying my Burley/iRide and Otomo, but just because of space, I've decided to sell off my Otomo (no stickers applied). If you're interested, please pm me. I'm in NC, USA.
