Holy shit, Don made BW Grimlock look not only good, but 100 shades of pure kickass. EDIT: Wait a second, wasn't Megatron going to be a tank? That looks more like a gun to me...

So...Furman's writing Grimlock into Beast Wars? Aw crap.. Don's art is perfect, as always, but Grimlock AGAIN?
Pity he didn't use Big Convoy or Lio Convoy...Especially the former would be kickass, considering BW-Neo. Hmmn...Makes you wonder if Galvatron will popup in a possible sequel.

As soon as I heard he was writing a BW series, I started thinking to myself: "I hope nobody tells him about Grimlock, I hope nobody tells him about Grimlock, I hope nobody tells him about Grimlock..." At least he doesn't show up until later. Magmatron's presence *does* require the presence of a heavy hitter, in any case. I wish it would have been someone else, but oh well...
That Megs isn't necessarily the IDW comic version, since we've all seen covers for Infiltration where bots and cons have their standard G1 altmodes... that Megatron has grips on his shins like a pistol... I'd say its their take on original G1 gun Megs.
It's by EJ, who's the main artist on the title, and part of a series of six covers that join up into a single wide fresco... so it's extremely likely.
I was just looking at other Infiltration covers, and neither of the Su #1 or #2 covers look to match the #4 Megatron and #3 Ratchet/Bumblebee covers to join as part of the six cover fresco. Is this going to start with #3 and run for six issues? I likely won't be buying additional issues, but it will affect *which* covers I buy. Besides, I want to see the original alt modes. These updated ones don't fog up the Geewun rose-tinted lenses like the classic alt-modes.
