I just received the Super Colossal T-Rex from Amazon, which I scored last week for a grand total of $34 with taxes due to a random $8 coupon on the page and a $40 base price. I've grown nostalgic for Jurassic Park as of late (my only real exposure to the franchise as a kid was the first film and the SNES and Genesis games, but I watched and played them a lot. I only just now saw Lost World and III for the first time), and I got the Target Brachiosaurus a couple of months ago. I need to make space for these, but I'm quite happy. I need the Amber collection Raptor and Ian Malcolm (as well as the upcoming Nedry and Dilophasaurus).
This toy line is entering its third year now... and we don't have a complete collection of any of its previous waves. 1st year? 3 cancelled figures. Dino Rivals? 10 cancelled releases. And with Camp Cretaceous wave coming up I'm not sure if Primal Attack will release everything it promised.
The OG JP couple coming to Amber Collection! At last a movie-accurate Dilophosaurus that doesn't have a permanent open frill! Nedry's venom face though... it looks like someone threw poop at his face.
The Dilophosaurus and the accessories are perfect. The Nedry though...I'm going to apply some sharpie to his face. The venom was black not brown.
To be fair, the black colouring could be chalked up to it being nighttime and stormy preventing us from getting a real good shot of it. Also... do you really want to see them put half of a black painted goop on a fat white guys face? Certain people will decry it as racist before you can say Bob's your Uncle. Personally I always thought it was a really dark greenish blue maybe purple, I mean it kind of looked like that to me when I saw it originally.
Ironically they only have promo pics with the frill . This release feels like a collectible finally. Lots of accessories, and poseable figures. Love!
Awesome! Nedry and the dilophosaurus look great! Looking forward to those! I was able to take a few pictures while the sun shined the other day. Jurassic Park III reimagined.
Got these 4 from last Saturday there are 15% discount from promotion I really liked all of them has a great detail and improve gimmick from FK/Dino Rivals line. Cant wait to get Siats Meekerorum and Irritator soon.
So, re-releasing Ellie and the previously SDCC exclusive? What was wrong with giving us Lex and Tim here?
