Thanks! I use a grey spray primer to get everything prepped, then use brushes for the actual painting. It does take a while to get a natural look without any brushstrokes....and the rubbery plastic used on certain parts of the toys is a nightmare to work with.

If you're confident (or brave enough) with an airbrush though, it would probably take about half the time to get a good looking figure.

I really want to have a go with the EC Rex, but I know I won't be satisfied with it unless it's at least 90% screen accurate and looks like it's not just glossy painted plastic....don't think I'm that good haha!

So Walmart have a new exclusive CORPS line - I thought it was worth $7.

The dinosaur doesn't have any articulation so I basically stripped it down and created pretty much my favourite thing in my dinosaur display right now:

I may go back and paint the harness something better than all that orange, though (if the material will even bond with paint - that rubbery stuff is tricky).

Wide-shot of the whole collection just for funsies:

    • My Zia is the second (Not New) variant, but the paint of the medical isn't as sloppy as his.
    • I don't have a Dracorex or Delta yet, but I'll keep that in mind when it reaches here.
    • My Lockwood Owen is in the way so I don't have it in hand yet.
    • My EC T-Rex is the second variant.
    • My Spinosaurus is the second variant.

Oh man, I didn’t know the skeleton T-Rex existed. It was never sold in my part of the world, if not I would have bought it.

I can live with without the variants that I don’t have. All of them, I actually like the improved Spino!

So how rare will the albertosaurus be? I picked up 1 and I love it, debating on another.

Ehh, you do you! People that don’t have one yet are more frantic to pick it up but it’s far from the next Spinosaurus. People are actually finding them, heh.

Double post....but it includes everyone's favourite Spined Lizard getting introduced to the G.O.A.T, so it's all good. ;)

Wow, guess I'll make it a triple post!

Dino Rivals have officially now hit the UK. A few places have had the Bite 'N Fight Rex in stock for the last week, and I saw the Dual Attack assortment for the first time today....picked up the Para from the bunch.

The colour scheme is very underwhelming (and looks very toyish) in person. It'll probably be the next volunteer for a complete repaint!

Looks like the original Para from way back in the day.

Ha, I hadn't even realised it was the JP Para's colour scheme! I might keep the same pallette then, once I get around to painting her.

Man, the Indoraptor is such a good figure...it's a shame that it's the only dino to get a super articulated figure so far (I know there's a Blue coming).

All I want is a super articulated JP1 raptor and Rex in the future. C'mon Mattel, you know it makes sense.

Look what was at my local Walmart today.

They also had the full assortment of transformers seige out. Voyager, leader, Deluxe, and weaponizers.

Very nice! I've seen some Dual Attack around, and a perfect Albertosaurus I HAD to pass up because I had to move. Maaaaaaaan I'm pissed at that one. Seen the "new" Savage Strike Stiggy and Blue (and an okay Monolophosaurus) but no Styracosaurus yet.

Britt Shotts got production samples of the wave two Savage Strikes while we're on the subject. Check 'em out: britt shotts on Instagram: “*conference calls, amirite?* goofing around with the latest samples delivery. cameo appearance by bane, scully, and meowlder. (as in…”

Wait, when’s the super articulation Blue coming!?
