Im getting ready to do my first custom(packrat) and i want it to fit in with the rest of my figures, so i want to know what paints and sealants has a more official look, matte or gloss( or semi-gloss, satin, etc.). And also which brands of sealant are best? Any advice on the subject would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

I would sugest gloss paints first
then going over it with a protective topcoat before deciding on a gloss coat or a flat matte coat
Gloss paint because it results in a smoother finish

Also white matte paint is a (female dog) to paint
I had to sand it down how many times so it's smooth
I suggest a gloss white before going over it with a matte topcoat
Also it's easier for consistency sake
