So here a little story for my fellow Transformers fans. A few weeks ago I was doing some swiping on a dating app and got a match with this girl and we started texting a little bit no big deal. A few days go by and I mention how I like Transformers when going through my interests and stuff and what do ya know her family and her are the actual people who live in the Witwicky house from the first two movies and were living there before filming started. I did not believe her at first but she started sending pictures of the house inside and out and no doubt about it that it was real deal.

So she says how one day they got a knock on the door from some people saying they wanted to use the house for the movie and her parents agreed so then they moved into a hotel a the time of filming for both movies which were paid for by the studio and would even allow them to come to filming. Her family even went out to lunch with Kevin Dunn and Julie White (Sam's parents) at the time and saw Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox too. Turns out Sam bedroom was actually the master bedroom to the house for the movie so there is some little trivia. Of course she is telling me this and I am just nerding out at the whole time going wow I know the person who lives in the Witwicky house. Even if your are not a fan of the Bay movies that a pretty cool because what are the chances of coming across someone like that on an app.

Of course the conversation eventually died out and today I saw she unadded me on snapchat, blocked on Facebook, and blocked IG so I got the full ghosted treatment some how so the story does not have a happy ending but is a story none the less.

 

There are S O many Transformers: 2007 lines I could reference here, but there are children on this site and I don’t want a warning.

Well, a few things...

While it's very neat that she lives in the Witwicky house, Transformers aren't the first thing a lot of women want to hear about. Plus, it temporarily forced her out of the house, which sucks. (Tyler Perry used his own mansion for filming and said never again.)

Second, if your pic is any indication, a lot of people (both male and female) want a sense of intrigue, not everything laid out on the table. Too much oversharing.

Third, the grammar. (Or lack thereof.) Most people (especially women) want a partner who can put their best foot forward. This was run on sentences with periods strewn about. That, your particular hobby, and your pic make it clear to the women that you're a specific type and a certain "way".

You work your way up like Mac, not throwing punches like Mike Tyson.

Ironically I don't like tight shirts. I like my clothes loose and easy to move in. Tight close just make me to tight and I can't move well enough in them so no need to check on a tighter shirt.

It's always neat when you discover an unexpected connection to a movie you like. A while back one of my friends said she had a family member (at least I think it was family, it could have been a friend) who visited one of the Revenge of the Fallen aircraft carrier locations during filming. I think it was because he was in the Navy, and was serving on that ship. I wish I remember the story better. At the time I despised the Bayverse and didn't really find it too interesting (I also wasn't as into behind-the-scenes stuff as I am now). I mean, I thought it was neat, but that story didn't stick with me as much as it would if she told it to me today.

And I wouldn't be too upset about that relationship not working out. You have to keep in mind that just because she has a connection to Transformers doesn't automatically make her the perfect match. Not that your post implies you feel that way, but it is an easy trap to fall into...thinking someone is the perfect match because they have some kind of connection to something you like. There are a lot of other girls out there that you'll probably get along with better.

Personally, I'd say if she blocked you on social media (for seemingly no good reason...it doesn't sound like you were annoying her or anything), you'd probably be better off trying to find someone who's more respectful. Unfollowing someone she's not interested in is understandable (albeit disappointing for the person being unfollowed), but blocking is pretty extreme, and it could imply that she's a hostile person. I'm of the opinion that blocking should be reserved for situations where someone is actively pestering you, and you need to make them stop (like harassment or annoyance). Not disinterest or difference of opinion, I find it really dumb and closed-minded when people do that.

Oh yeah I am not upset at all about it I just mentioned that part to try and get some laughs at how it ended but it seems some people are taking it more serious then others. (not you but another person post) I just thought it was an interesting story that other Transformers fans could go wow small world the TF fan boy matching with the girl who grew up in the actual Witwicky house.

 

Yeah, honestly the things people get triggered by on these boards jumps around from obvious-reasons-to-be-upset to arbitrary to just plain stupid.

A mistake I will gladly continue to make because I take pride in being the meathead action figure nerd around these parts.

This has been my picture here for maybe three months now and no one has literally made any comments about it until this thread. I like to post in the fitness thread in the general discussion to show my other hobby on here since my personality is basically made up of the crazy gym rat animal and the dorky action figure/comic book man child.
