NO WAIT! I'M STILL A VIRGIN!!
are you ready for your colonoscopy?
(Not just directed at you)
Maybe I'm just too easy going, but I just don't see the ankles and tailfin cracks as a serious issue. This thread is filled with people finding more than acceptable solutions for the ankles, and the tailfin thing seems to not get any worse than a hairline crack. I definitely do not place this in the same league 44 at all. Arcee was pretty damn perfect, but she also had pretty consistent too loose ab crunch.
Overall 52 appears to have very good to excellent paint quality, with some random oddities that will always be found. With the exception of the ankles, he looks to have pretty good fit, finish, and tolerances all around.
I see the complete lack of MP-11's torso holding togther, in anyway, a far more egregious failure than anything on this figure so far.
Mine only has one known issue, so far.
Rather minor compared with other similarly reported issues.
AFaik, MP-03, MP-11, and MP-52 are all of the same scale (round 1/72), so their included pilot-figures should fit in each other's cockpit. Not really sure why MP-52 did not come with a pilot-figure, tho. Just a damn weird decision from Takara.
You can prolly even try the pilot-figures from several 1/72 die-cast jet models, if you have any.
It still has floppy joints, odd proportions and stress marks
Whatever people decide to do for their collections, that’s their right way. I’m also happy to see there are good copies as well. As long as people enjoy him, that’s what matters.
Look, there's easier ways to get likes
Maketoys MTRM-11 Meteor
The only QC issue on mine is the missing smiley face, otherwise mine has still has no cracks, stress marks, or loose joints on any of the problem areas that are being mentioned.
Tbh the missing smiley face (which Amazon won't provide without a full figure replacement) bugs me more than if mine had loose feet though (which can seemingly be Pledged easily enough)
I actually dont think there's a clear coat on any of MTs stuff, definitely not on Meteor. Unless thats on the new EX version. Meteor's red is fully painted though. All the gray and blue are just plain bare plastic.
More to the point though, Meteor is cheaper, yes. And it shows, in many ways .And this coming from a happy Meteor owner.
Oh yours too? I had all the purple paint just slide right off one of the orange flip around windows. And don't forget all the mismatched knee ratchets. No double standards at all....
you know plenty of things can happen in 4 years , right ?
Mine's missing that face too but Thundercracker and Skywarp will have the same face so i'm not stressing it too much.
Each had their time under the sun. Hard to believe it's been 5 years already.
Dumb points awarded for assuming years later I’ve only had a single Meteor come in and out of my collection. Extra points awarded for posting a post with a single like when trying to imply I care about who likes a stupid transformer board post.
in another point of irony, I had to replace one of them due to the ankle sheering off due of a manufacturing defect.
What are you? His stalker?
Man you are just weird. You go and find a 5 YO post just for this?
The simpin’ is really affecting you bad.
go lift some weights, all that cholesterol is not good for you.
That part wouldn't be the pinned peg for the leg if you want to fisplay his tailfins out in bot mode? Cuz ngl I had that issue
This is awkward.
It was the actual drum for the ankle tilt. The whole thing was ceased and one small turn was all it took for a nice thick snap
