Typical S2 episode
Some great customer service by Robotkingdom! They will ship out replacement parts in my next order to cover the cracked stabiliser!
Not sure how easy to swap out, but the crack doesnt seem to be getting bigger at the moment. But glad to have these parts just in case!
Robotkingdom is the only retailer I purchased from that has ever shipped me spare parts for a TT Masterpiece figure. I bought MP Clampdown and he was missing his shoulder wheel. RK sent me a whole torso. Not sure where they're getting the spare parts from....only guessing they just take it from an existing figure.
Good on them for providing those parts, but when a particular part is known to crack and is a widespread issue, those replacement parts are just as prone to crack. These are not revised pieces by Takara.
My rear stabiliser was cracked before I even took the figure out of the clamshell. Hopefully if these parts arent cracked, they wont crack on the first rotation. I'll have to find out how easy it is to swap out before I even consider using them....
Oh pog, might give em a call about this
What a poser
out for delivery !!!!!! pleeeeeeaaaaasssseee don't be cracked!!
Hope you win the QC lottery.
Mine was delivered to TT yesterday, so I should be sent a replacement in a few weeks.
I try not to do returns for high price items through Amazon too often, as I don’t want to risk my account getting closed. After doing returns for Optimus v3, Blackarachnia, Hound and Tigatron in a row, I feel like I shouldn’t push my luck.
Bobby Skullface's review is up.
yeah fingers crossed! it's here just waiting for the carpet fitters to finish before i crack it open
I can't stand his reviews personally. He is so overly nitpicky and always whines about "proportions". It seems like most of the stuff he reviews these days he doesn't like or is very underwhelmed. He really comes off as a burnt out collector.
The only thing I agree with is the price is a bit much, but I still think the figure turned out great. And I don't know what he's on, but the head sculpt is a night and day improvement over the previous Starscream figures.
Just saw his review... what was that all about? Yeah SS head is maybe somewhat big but not as horrible as BSF states. And then him trying to twist the figure for a waist swivel... which I think, BSF knows, that the figure doesn't have one. What's the point of almost cracking the figure to show it?
I've switched to TMreviews and Tman978 anyways. These are positive guys at least.
It's put me back on the fence about this release but I do think the figure really captures the character.
That's one way to relieve the pressure on his ankles.
I find my tastes and criticisms seem to align with BSF's on an alarming number of occasions but here we differ. Seems like he wanted to hate it from the start which then coloured all his nitpicks.
Sure, having a copy that doesn't stand would sour you somewhat on a figure but the transformation is no worse than most Fanstoys transformations he seems to have no problem with.
just taken it out the box no crack on the tailfin part but one of the feet instantly flopped from the jet mode and is really loose sooo i presume that is cracked FFS!!! takara strikes again!!! they nail figures but through the whole line right from the start their qc has been really spotty and sometimes shocking
I don't know. I mean if I got a figure that wouldn't stand out of the box I'd be fuming. Mine hasn't arrived yet (I don't think ShowZ got their stock yet even, so It'll take some time), but I get where he's coming from in terms of transformation - I don't remember which FT toy I transformed last. Hoodlum, Rouge, Jabber, Thomas I haven't bothered even to transform. It doesn't bother me, but I've had situations in which FTs stuff never was as tight etc. after one transformation.
Anyway, I don't know what I will do if my ankle is floppy. I may exchange it or I may try to fix it myself, but I actually have no idea how to do it. I was thinking about some using epoxy but I have no experience with that. Any suggestions?
I wouldn't worry just yet. The foot probably just wasn't tabbed into the leg properly. It tabs into the side panel of the leg securely in jet mode.
In robot mode, it clicks in place to joint the exhaust/heel. The joint the foot swings down from during transformation is different from the ankle joint that folks are having issues with
