C'mon, my guy, you still got time to catch up! I've been revving mine for ages now!
You must be thinking of me, I never use it and I am an idiot
Same here buddies! Only have two Star Cream. The USA TRU(not the JP USA TRU) smirk face and the TT Coronation set 2nd pressing. TT and SW was always an oh so out there price range.
Now though, I'm gonna be stuck with 3 Star Creams now and two knucklehead seekers later this year.
Was there still a question about the new Seeker mold having a neck or not?
Now it looks like Starscream needs a bit more fiber in his diet so he doesn't have to push so hard.
oddly enough, seeing these new images slightly puts my mind at ease with the potential faux cockpit being entirely cast out of orange translucent plastic.
I HOPE it's the same case as Arcee's discoloured white legs and they have the canopy windows as seperate pieces.
Can't help but feel hyped for when RK ships my preorder
(to me) this really shows that there’s no contest
wow thank you!!!!!!!! Preordered before the preorder sold out it looks like, phew!
I think I see why there were complaints about the robot faux canopy before. Didn’t realize until now that the entire section(not just the frame over the canopy) may be translucent plastic with the parts outside of the canopy painted light grey. You can somewhat see this in the pic where Starscream is looking up, the upper/front layer of plastic shows it.
Initially I thought you guys were just talking about the frames over the canopy. Wondering why Takara didn’t use a thicker layer of paint and/or didn’t compensate for warm tone of the underlying plastic by painting over with a cooler grey.
Correct! Only one bot has waist swivel...
Yeah I like everything as long as they properly paint that area around the canopy. Cause it looks terrible like there’s years worth of yellowing when you can see the orange through it.
That’s something that struck out with the most recent pics today as I didn’t notice it on the pics a few days ago. Hopefully there’s s Tamiya or Testors Model Master paint that easily matches the grey elsewhere.
Yeah, I looked back on the old pics and they look great and everything matches.
Maybe just the outer canopy is the only part painted translucent? Still think it's the light affecting the clear painted plastic of the cockpit. Its definitely looks a better match once you see behind it.
Looks like the robot cockpit with the faux canopy has 1 thin layer of translucent plastic overlaying a thicker piece beneath. You can see the tonal differences from above it. The entire front of the faux cockpit looks like it’s translucent plastic but painted over outside of the canopy.
Missed out on Alyx, did ya?
CHUG's biggest advantage against MP is that it comes out fast. Thus there will always be new CHUG figures being weighed against old, outdated MP figures. SS Grimlock has over a decade of engineering evolution over MP Grimlock, for instance. But I can't even imagine how glorious a modern MP Grimlock 2.0 would be.
Tangential but, MP01 never had a neck and it didn't bother us(that much ) back in 2004 (well, should have had one I'd agree). So this one is an improvement!
