I'm talking about this one, genius.
Because the guy I'm replying to implies that Starscream's had three proper MPs like Optimus. Give it a proper read next time.

They gonna be gone soon! Just look at the MP Arcee thread. All quiet in the Western/Easter frontlines. All those yapping about "accuracy" to the source material, gynimizing her and the back packizing hullabaloo. All gone. They got their dopamine rush already. Same here.

I sympathize. The MP figures haven't really appealed to me since they started going strictly toon. I have even stopped buying the official KOs. I don't think this new seeker looks good, and that shouldn't offend the people who do. Yet, for some reason it seems to.

What I enjoyed about the original MPs was how much they evoked the toys. I'm glad that I was able to field a satisfying collection between MP, 3P, and KO before the full toon movement took over. I'm not knocking the aesthetic it just isn't for me, but that's what sells so that's what they'll make.

While MP-11 mold looked decent for the time it came out, I'm glad I held out and never made any serious investment in any previous seeker mold before MP-52.

Same here, especially after seeing MP-11 in action a while back, made me more glad that I took the Starscream head Prime came with as a sign that something groundbreaking was afoot.

And look where we are now, just a bit less than 3 weeks to go till the big day!

The appeal of this Starscream is that the robot mode in particular is full on cartoon(the jet mode is to some extent as well). The previous versions(MP-3/11) went for a different approach. MP-3 meant for a more realistic look and emphasized a modern look over cartoon styling. MP-11 built on this but went a little closer to the cartoon(and original prototype) by moving the stabilizers back down to the leg and going for a more cartoon inspired deco.

While both incarnations had full articulation, poseability wasn’t emphasized…as in yea it’s there but not completely functional, especially in light of how figures like MP-36 can pose. Possible lack of waist swivel aside, MP-52 is the 1st MP Starscream to emphasize dynamic poseability and is molded more after the cartoon model moreso than the throwbacks MP-11 had. While different aspects of Starscream had been homaged in previous versions, this is the 1st to go for full on cartoon + dynamic poseability. If and when Takara bothers to make another MP G1 Starscream mold again, maybe it’ll go for a more realistic F-15 sculpt than MP-03 with poseability on par or surpassing that of MP-52.

Hoping this takes less time to transform than MP-3/11 and feels more solid than both.

Awe man! I thought you were trying not to use that. I must have missed the memo that we can save our sanity instead of reaching for altruistic inclusion on the boards. I’m revvin’ up my ignorin’ finger! :D
