Let us all be thankful for Amazon JP and DHL, Starscream is about 3100 yen for shipping , and will probaly be a tad ligher than this (1800 grams= almost 4 lbs) EMS has just been reinstated and whew.... I know a lot of us are hoping DHL prices drop but Ill be happy if they stay with they're at. Hopefully Skyfire won't be too crazy hoping they release him sooner versus later.

 

I cannot wait for this bad boy to be released!

36 made me think it was possible that most characters would get a re-do, but was not sure.

The line art of 44 cemented my belief it was only a matter of time and sold EVERYTHING. It seems I made the right choice.

This was the icing on the cake. Can't wait for Soundwave and a new Sideswipe! (likely to happen before Galvy/Roddy).

 

I'm still confused about Japan Post and Canada. The last update for Canada was that they ditched surface as well so we are now completely at the mercy of the couriers. But when I looked at the list of countries affected by covid Canada is no longer on the list. Very confusing.

And yes, for anyone not aware, EMS prices have gone up with a supposed temporary surcharge that goes up according to the weight. I believe it's something like 20% extra for under 1.5kg so hopefully Starscream is less than that for people that can use EMS. The highest category is 165% extra or some crazy thing. Is 1.8kg the official weight for Starscream? That sounds too heavy.

I unfortunately ordered from AE this time so I have no idea what I'm going to be paying for shipping at the end of the month.  

 

If I remember right it was going to be as much as 33% increase . On the US side it was a trade deal they pulled out of last term and all shipping from Asia is set to increase, that's not even accounting from whatever damage the shipping stops caused. Hopefully as things get closer to resembling pre covid EMS will become more sensible, its normally cheaper than DHL. I can only imagine it's a matter of time before shipping resumes back to Canada. As of yet SaL and the other methods havent been restarted.

 

I recently bought an item from Japan and the seller shipped it via Japan Post EMS while in the past they would use DHL. I have to believe that EMS is now cheaper, but AFAIK, AJP always used DHL in the past.

 

IDK this seems all SNAFU. Hopefully DHL will BRB with cheaper prices ASAP or I might be SOL with USPS and have to go back to being an AFOL and using SNOT design in CAD in which case I am FUBAR

JP Post uses commercial airlines for their shipping, so as long as commercial flights are limited, the 20% surchase will surely remain in place. Delays are already announced & expected as well. It's nice that EMS is back on the table but it's still a bit of a mess.

 

Star Cream is a powerful drug apparently. I may need a playbook to follow all of that.
