This starscream is a weird one for me. Its nowhere near as bad as other recent MP's with terrible backpacks. But, it doesn't blow me away in the way that MP 36 did for megatron. There's nothing there to really make it special, it just looks ok and super cartoonish with wings that are panel lined for the vehicle mode. I don't really get the point of realistic alt modes if you make the robot look like 80's animation with almost playdough looking smoothness. Idk what it is, but its just missing that MP feeling that makes me think "yeah, that's from the TT MP line".

I believe that is the same painted prototype as before. Just like the MP-44 one where the paint chipping was much more severe compared to the real figure.

Preorders don't lock in till the 25th for Amazon, doubt they went into production already for a June 2021 release in October.

Yeah, I think they just take a beating, being a sample and all.

I mean, it's the way the jet looked in the cartoon. If it looked realistic in the cartoon, that's the look they're going to use. And Arcee and Bumblebee are the only recent ones that even have a semblance of a backpack, and they're not even that bad.

The cartoon (and basically every cartoon and movie) super cheats. Parts just straight up disappear. The parts have to go SOMEWHERE on a toy. As much as people whine about "backpacks" or "faux-chests" there's only so much that feasibly be done. Hell, the top of the VW bug CHANGES SHAPE to be BB's chest. And Starscream's wings just friggin' change shape too. And Arcee's vehicle part just disappears.

I’m not for these toon accurate MPs, but I do love those plain looking chest exhaust ports.

Cooo! They also have the original Raiden designer working on the Raiden MP. I adore this trend. So much love goes into developing these wonderful toys!

    who in the what now?

Also those those paint scuffs man, yikes, at least we now know that we should handle the figure like we’re holding a fragile model kit to not get any paint scuffs, I just really hope that the materials used for mass release are long lasting and durable.

Front paged again, I’m guessing?

Starscream is looking fantastic! He’s going to be excellent standing with MP-36, and I’m really looking forward to finally having an MP Starscream that can actually be posed properly.

And that’s super cool that Kawamori is involved!

    Mmm… Star Cream…

Tell me about it. I've got a fun idea too, but I need a Galvatron for it.

Is having the Null-rays pointing up a thing with the G1 toy? I've never had one, but I've seen a few pictures with them pointing up. Can they not point downwards? Anyway, I think you might be able to have the tailfins on the legs out like the G1 toy, which would make fun for a + repaint.

Yes it can. Here's a picture with it.
