Tried out adding the full complement of alternate faces I want to my digibash, just like some of you other talented people have done to the other brilliant digibashes and taking a lot of inspiration from @Sam's screenshots! I'm sure TT will do a much better job.

Well, made a start  

Gonna take a little while. Limbs should be much easier than this to model, canopy and crotch will be a pain in the arse to get the curvature right. Plenty of interpretation and guessing required. A top view would have been helpful but ah well. I apologise in advance for what will have to serve as a 'face' and hands  ...




Gotta say I'm digging the sculpt though - love how the chest intakes are not flat parallel like MP-11 but taper outwards towards the middle a bit like Prime's chest. It's these little touches that really bring it to life in 3D (and make it harder to model accurately!  ). I think he's gonna look great in hand.

 

For me, Hound was the straw that broke the camel’s back...I have been experiencing dodgy QC on quite a few purchases.

One of my cars’(Prowl) paint wasn’t properly dried (?) or the paint melted?

Thankfully my import shop has been willing to do exchanges for me. Things got so bad that I opened the figures in the shop itself.

Quick question, which 3D modeling program are you using for these?

 

Thanks dudes! I'll try get it done before the task is made redundant by real proto pics!  

It will be a statue at first but if I find time it could be articulated. Will have to guess joint axes but cant be too far off for the basic hips, knees, etc.

I'm doing it in Solidworks.

 

This make the idea of a long wait until grey prototype shots that bit more bearable!

For those working on models----everything I can see so far, indicates they're basing the alt-mode on an F-15C.

 

Wouldn’t that be awesome if they released an MP with six face options?! Especially for a character like Starscream, I think I’d get more enjoyment out of a couple more faces than a one-episode accessory (though I do enjoy a lot of those accessories).

 

I think 3 faces is the sweet-spot with iconic characters with an actual mouth. Megatron, Starscream and likely Galvatron. They were either laughing at their so called "majestic" plans for world domination that never got them anywhere, completely pissed off with themselves or just serious.

I wouldn't mind a "surprised" one as well for Starscream, or something denoting pain. But TBH, I'll be happy with the regular 3. I'm actually not expecting anything less ....

Very cool. It is oddly complex for a modern toon MP! Maybe we could collaborate to do the whole thing. You seem to be good at doing the fiddly bits  

 

It kind of looks like a bit of the missile cone sticking out of the top and there are quite a few pin joints. Makes me think even more that the null rays will turn into the missiles for jet mode. I really hope they do!

 

Would that make him a...face sixer?
