With the kibble it looks like an update of the toy, which isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but without I get the same 'Animation model come to life' feeling that the other MPs give me, and it makes him look less chunky.

I take it you mean MP-1/1B/2/4/4S/5 etc. Citizen Stack fits that scale in robot mode pretty well. The vehicle mode though is a little small.

 

KFC' s scales pretty well with mp-01 in bot mode, other than that I don't really know what you mean by "origional" mp line.

 

I love this Ultra Magnus design. It does more for me than Citizen Stack. If I had one complaint, it would be there is no slider to allow the shoulders to slide forward a bit more but that is a minor issue.

 

The KFC works well with MP-01. Since the original MP's aren't that cartoon accurate it fits in nicely and not too big either.

 

I really wish people would stop bad mouthing CS and MP-22. Both have amazing merits and their own styling. I don't understand the need to do it to be honest.

 

Agreed, if TakaraTomy weren't doing the character, I would have picked up Citizen Stack. It is a really well made product. I want the animation style to match my other MP's so I go with TakaraTomy.

 

this is true. we live in an awesome age of transformers toys with two awesome options for ultra magnus. i like both of these new versions better than city commander and i thought he was awesome.   if he drops seriously in price i may buy him up again so i can have all three of these awesome ultra magni to go with my g1. lol...  

 

I received an email from BBTS about the price change. I hope it does happen.

 

I probably wont grab Stack for an UM but the new Diaclone colors version looks fantastic. Face plate will be a nice difference to the molds too.

 

If i could afford it Id get MP22 and Stacks and go with IDW's. They both got a place just follow the IDW story.

And since I haven't put in my 2cents yet. At first I thought MP UM look way too bulky but after spending some time looking at the pic and now having seen the high res version of the original pic, I'm really liking it. Looking forward to coloured pics.
