Got my notice from TCP as well and my card charged as well. Can’t wait to replace MP-11 and put it in alt mode

    Yeah, just paid mine too.

It’s kind of amazing we’re getting all 3 seekers so quickly. How much time was there between the original releases? It felt like it was years apart. Love this efficiency!

I'm really hoping Skywarp is not also released a whole freaking month early.
Some of us do have to budget.

It’s not til December isn’t it? Or maybe late November, should be at least 2 months.

I may be weird, but I actually prefer the original MP designs for the seekers. They looked interesting, and cool, and these new ones kind of look... chubby I guess? I know that they\'re more animation accurate, and I can appreciate the detail put into them, and understand why others may enjoy them, but for me they just aren\'t my kind of thing.

I still like the older MP Seeker molds as well as MP-52. With all 3, Takara was doing something different, so there’s something for everyone at this point. With MP-3/11 it was more about making a Masterpiece Starscream based on what might be expected. For MP-52 the goal was about making a straight up cartoon based Masterpiece Starscream.

I do like how regardless of styling, MP-52 moves a lot better than MP-3/11, that was a very welcome improvement to me.

Now if this Thundercracker had the deco of MP-7(plus painted wing stripes, not the sticker stripes MP-7 had), I might’ve preordered this.

Thundercracker was a month early at TCP. He was slated for October, but they got the first batch early.

Can anyone confirm if the ankles are more stable or any new pins, parts used for the ankles, knees, etc?

    Ebay:
TCP are only giving an expectation of when they think their stock should arrive.

This was always a September release (and it's always the last Saturday of the month). TCP can't plan on TT getting stuff out quicker, months ahead of time.

Always, always use the actual release date as the eta for the ol' budget, unless you pay the preorder in full of course. Or you order from BBTS.

I think I'm gonna keep my rainmakers/welcoming committee as mp11 mould as they look older and almost Cybertronian compared to the new trio. Not sure about Coneheads yet, you know they're coming. I'm a sucker for that top end articulation and clean cartoon look tho so I'll probably be dragged in.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Not everybody likes the same thing. Thus it's a great thing that TT through happenstance, has done both. First with MP-3/6/7 the very accurate jet design with less accurate robotmodes (even though both kitbashers and iGear proved that you can get a more G1 looking version with the same jet -- and it was even more stable and posable that way), then the mix of influences with MP-11, and now the very cartoon based hyper articulated version.

Something for everyone and that's great.

I for one will also not buy this version because I don't care for this look. But I love seeing the pics and reading people liking it. I'm very happy for the fans of the cartoon look that they're now getting what they've always wanted. And even more happy that those who do not care for this also have options.

I don't think it's impossible, though not as an official release. I don't even expect toy based versions of these let alone a revisit to the MP-6/7 deco for Skywarp and Thundercracker. (Honestly, when I got MP-11 Skywarp I so hated his colours because I so loved MP-6's deco. Was the first time I disliked a MP-11 figure.)

But there's a KO of MP-52 coming and with the MP-11 KO's we did get things like that. Robot hero released their oversized KO's in the MP-3, 6 & 7 deco: greenscream and glossy blue and black with tampo's for SW and TC, while Yesmodel for the regular KO did a Greenscream deco and a SW/TC with tampo's. So who knows? Not sure it would look good on these very cartoon based designs, though...

I feel the existing coneheads look just about ok. To handle is another matter! The decos, bigger faces and the few mould tweaks help them fit in with newer figures.

So I really wonder if we'll get them at all. If we do I wouldn't mind a break, but then when the wallet has recovered a quick 1 2 3 like the seekers would be cool.

I think they'll get done, the real challenge is shrinking the wings down in bot mode. Ono mentioned he wanted this stuff to be fun and objectively the mp11 mold isnt much fun. With most of 2022 spoken for already I don't think it will be till 2023 at the earliest we see them.
