Yeah, the only way to tell if a MP was a KO of TT was to check to see if the box was embossed. I don't think TC has been KO'ed yet, was a red flag (I am assuming false now) to me from previous MP hunting.

Thank you everyone for responding, much appreciated!

They're are KO's of him coming out. But one has it's own original box and the other that has the same box only just shipped and has different ways the pictures are applied (Official has horizontal lines while the KO has those defined vertical lines).
So 90% sure yours is official, just not embossed for some reason.

They use Hasbro Asia rather than Hasbro USA, so that may explain it.

No worries, as it is odd. I'm glad others were able to confirm for you. I wonder if this is how it's going to be going forward. Like once people get Skids, Reboost, and Skywarp from Hasbro USA if the same will be true.

Mine is embossed the same as OCDChad's but mine did not come with the outer box (Singapore stock). My MP-45 Bee came in the outer Hasbro box, which is stamped at the back near the bottom edge, while the actual toy box is not. Your outer Hasbro box is embossed at the same position (12851 it looks like).

Otherwise the surefire way, at the moment, to spot a KO is to look at the toy and see the cockpit canopy colour. KO SS and TC have lighter canopies.

I have an MP‐17+ that is authentic. Hasbro outer box is embossed, but the TT box inside is not embossed. No idea why, I think it just happens sometimes.

Wow, I’m shocked how quickly MP52+TC got a KO made.

There's a second one as well. Only it came out of nowhere and never got a pre-order stage. Basically "yep, here's another one for $85 from most likely BMB who made DS-001. Have fun".

Well he is literally the same thing as Starscream and that probably led to a faster turn around time, the KO people just needed to know what color plastic and paint to use and they were all set.

Thanks for pointing out the outer box is stamped. Didn’t even think to check the outer box.

Thank you @SkyfireAU for pointing out the canopy difference. That helped easy my nerves.

I seriously doubt any KO would even bother making the Hasbro outer box. Do we know of any KOs that have actually done that?

You're welcome. I too get the KO jitters. I'm glad you can enjoy TC in peace.

It also seems the straight KO has the arm joints blue rather than painted grey, so yeah you're is 100% official since the other KO uses a different box.

I looked into it quite a bit when I started collecting MPs about a year ago. The two things that really stood out is that nobody has ever reported a KO with the Hasbro outer box, or a KO that was a repaint that came out years later as a + version. Obviously TC is a different type of +, not a toon inspired repaint of the same char. But it seems the two things KOs haven't done yet is a Hasbro outer box, or update their paint schemes such as Prowl+. I think those are the two easiest indicators that something is authentic.

Received my replacement Thundercracker from ShowZ yesterday. So happy to finally have him. Unpacked Thundercracker today. Except for a small spot on one foot, he's perfect. The blue is gorgeous in hand, the perfect color. It took a while, but he was worth the wait. Now hopefully Skywarp will reach me soon too, and then the Seeker trio is complete.

The knees on my copy of TC are like cheese. Has a way of tightening them ever been found?

Great news, I got my replacement part from TCP after a lengthy wait, now my thundercracker is not thumb-less anymore. Bad news, the ankle joints are now super loose to a point it can't stand anymore. It was definitely not as loose when I first open it in October, and I have put it in the box ever since I found out the missing thumb. So basically, 3 months in the box, the ankles just loosened themselves.

Where did you pre-order yours? Even BBTS, which usually gets the stuff later around the area, has it in stock.
