BBTS has a placeholder up designating it as MP-52+. If that's true then what will be the designation for Skywarp? MP-52++? Doesn't matter in the long run, but still and odd choice.

 

That is bizarre. I'm guessing Thundercracker is MP-53 (I hope! No exclusives please!) and Skids is MP-54.

 

Skids is 55. Skywarp is 54. Gotta be!

yeah prepare yourself for the worse, the lack of flight stand and accessories is a pretty good sign its a mall release, the good news is it should keep them the same price as starscream after discount. Then again we'll be at the mercy of Hasbro Asia and could get screwed over anyway.

I'm still obviously gonna get Thundercracker and Skywarp, no doubts at all, but i'm obviously at least a bit disappointed in how they're being handled, again, should this numbering be true.

While I don't pose him that often, most probably not as much as you guys either, he's a breath of fresh air in comparison to MP-21, aside from the feet, backpack, and my copy having his right hand breaking and later fixed thanks to some Loctite and Bondic becoming a super duo of a fix, of course, haha.

I agree and am hoping that it is just a poor snapshot.

The colours are more AKOM. They often used a more pastel blue for Thundercracker and also Starscream's arms.
Hopefully, future pics will show him to be more of a "Toei" blue.

Thundercracker was way more prominent in the first Series compared to the second and Toei animated all of Series 1.
Starscream 2.0's arms is where his blue should be.

 

Flipflop Bee gets too much flack; hell yeah it's a good fig. Part victim to 2019s "plastic-gate" incident, but a reissue would fix that (hopefully). It's all but mandatory moving forward with the collection looking as it does now. Especially with the seekers now being updated.

The old Bee was good, and still is. I don't feel he'd look as "fleshed out" next to the new direction, though; he def fits in with the early era.

So necessary for these to happen, I need this Thundercracker. Like trying to recreate that scene mentioned with the OGs for example; good but not quite there. The Decepts are starved for characters AND updates. I appreciated them when this started, but I'm over the old Seekers.

Shit, I’ve got that sinking feeling you might be right. Maybe it’s the pessimist in me talking but all the clues are there to suggest it’s a TakaraMall /Hasbro Asia exclusive. The clues are:
1.Very short reveal to preorder period
2.Straight up repaint
3.No new parts
4.BBTS listing early calling it MP52+, and they get most of their MPs from Hasbro Asia
5.TC and SW were historically not popular enough in Japan to justify a mass retail release so they got “malled”

Crap crap crap, no discount. MP11T and MP11SW were around $200 from Hasbro Asia, and that was a few years ago.
