Contacted @ShowZStore this morning, Unfortunately the Pin on his left chest was BENT upon installation. There is stress on the plastic and the chest wont close over the missiles. The plastic on this figure is way weaker than Starscream IMHO.

    Bummed bigtime this time around.

The one thing I'm noticing on many of these and mine is the paint chips on the shoulders. My Starscream didn't have this problem and I didn't notice it on any of the others posted here.

The paint chipping is terrible on my copy. Noted it in my video review I'll be releasing after I hear from @ShowZStore as I never want to say negative things without speaking to the supplier I got an item from

I have miniscule paint chips on all of my MPs. I don't think this one is any better or worse than my others. It's just something I accept as I like them slathered in paint. I mean looking closely at my starscream I can see chips on the left shoulder. I'd take a photo but I've got a £150 phone with a shit camera that I dont think would even pick it up.

If this sort of thing bothered me I would just stick to unpainted MPs. I mean there's a new skids coming out at a much cheaper price point that I assume will mean less paint coverage.

Yeah Skids will be a real tell won’t it? What kind of product TT can produce at a more affordable price point.
And I’m not just referring to paint but QC as a whole.

My Starscream has ok ankles - not tight but not floppy. And my Thundercracker has tighter ankles but not very tight. Compared to SS, TC can lean forward more on the ankles before he tilts the rest of the way with his shins resting on the feet (the Michael Jackson pose). I also notice less play or wobble at the knees of TC compared to SS. Wobbling knees tends to make weak ankles worse since the heavy upper body can lean more at the knees, putting more force on the ankles.

    Thanks for the details.
My SS is pretty solid. Except for the ankles. One couldn’t be any looser.
I’m trying to tighten it up with some Vallejo reducer but it’s slow progress

Beware, this piece broke during my first transformation back to alt mode :(

ps according to some early pics out of the box, there was already a crack.
I still managed to finish the transformation.

A bit late to the party even though I've had this figure for a over a month now but here goes.....

To all those fence sitters pondering about this guy, wondering about how accurate the blue is in pictures...go and get it, it's phenomenal. In hand, it is spot on to the cartoon, dare I say, apart from MP-44's chrome grill, the most screen accurately coloured bot. He is just perfect in that department, the blue is spot on, it's uncanny. I don't know how TT is able characters I don't care for look so awesome, this guy was always a garnisher to me. Skywarp being my most favorite for aesthetics, Starscream, second for obvious reasons and this guy was always the third wheel but I even prefer him to MP-52, he's that good.

However I gotta agree with others....about how TT dropped the ball by not colouring the faux cockpit, it would seem like a no-brainer given how intent they are on dying on the hill of toon accuracy, which I have no problem with by the way. I've seen a couple of toon accurately painted cockpits here and they look fantastic, not only does it look better but it actually conceals the real cockpit. A missed opportunity to put this figure/mold on MP-36 levels of perfection and I will definitely be buying a Toyhax cover up.

But the figure/mold is so good that even the above complaint made about the glaring omission even seems like a nitpick. A phenomenal figure and can't wait for my favourite of the trio, Skywarp, who's only 2 months away.

Black box was wrapped with onion skin paper and the internal parts of the jet had those clear plastics in strategic sections.

My supplier's source most likely from HB/TT HK Tsim Tsa Tsui and not TT Japan. There are those weird minute differences I guess. Heck, my MP Soundwave didn't have that small silver triangle in his crest, yours might have been a hiccup in the assembly line packaging tail end.

And no cracks in the rear ailerons(?) connections. I haven't transformed him yet as of now.

Besides some small paint issues I've only had this crack. Upsetting though it doesn't stop me from transforming but i have to be extra careful.

I look at pics like these and really scratch my head when ppl complain about proportions.

They look perfect. What am I missing?

It’s not to scale. There’s no way I can fit in that cockpit.

As I did not like how dark the fake cabin is in robot mode and I did not want to paint it inside, I have placed a small piece of 1mm Foam between the two cabins and it does not look bad. What I didn't expect is that the colors of the Starscream and Thundercraker cockpits were so different.
