In that case you could always buy 3 or 4 copies of each, keep the best one and sell the rest. I mean this genuinely with no sarcasm whatsoever. It can be frustrating to get a less than perfect copy. I’ve learnt to let go and enjoy these for what they are.

My own figure is not perfect by any stretch but to me it’s the most “perfect” MP since MP-39.

What is really puzzling to me is what do you all even bother with a response at this point. It is exactly what she wants.

My TC is perfection. Sadly, it is now all boxed up. It'll see the light of day soon though.

I guess that they assemble the figure in bot form, and transform him into alt mode before packing him.
IMO, those scuffs and scratches is something that happens during the transformation process, by parts rubbing onto each other, even with the paint fully cured.

Even if it wasn’t, with the tight clearances on the figure it’s unavoidable. Even if the clearances were to increase by a few millimeters those would visually add up and it would look gappy. Only way around it would be to mold plastic in the intended color and that’s not likely to happen for all parts nor would it look as good. It would also cost more if Takara were to tool the wing stripes(for example) in red plastic and white plastic then fit them flushly onto new wings with cutouts for the stripes. While that sounds awesome it might not be practical(not to mention think of how thin said pieces would need to be) and the cost would likely be far higher than $240.

Less cosmetic issues the better but anything painted, don’t expect it to not be prone to scratching off during handling unless an industrial coating is applied(and if it was, expect a higher price). I don’t like nicks and scratches on paint but I’ll take them over physical cracks.

    Completely agreed.

I'm completely fine with most of those minor flaws. My intention on the original reply, was to say that something like that should be expected even if the paint is completely cured, especially on factory were you're working "under pressure".

I agree. Doing so could prevent some issues like joint cracking due to a paint seal making a joint too tight(like if it seeped between before drying completely).

According to the tracking information, my Thundercracker from ShowZ has been delivered here on the 16th... however I did not receive a thing!  Going to contact ShowZ about this. :(

Definitely. I also think Takara nailed Thundercracker’s cartoon deco here compared to MP-52 Starscream(which I think needed a darker blue).

Thanks. There’s a few of these mini Reflectors from various 3P figures and upgrade kits but this is the best one I’ve seen. The Dr Wu one is ok but I’m not convinced. That shapeways effort is great too but not at that price. I don’t like my chances of finding this one though.
