I received my blue beauty today. No major issues, everything is tight and paint is perfect aside from a slight blemish on one of his forearms that will buff off with a little Magic Eraser. Since Thundercracker was one of a mere eight G1 figures I owned as a kid (TC, Shrapnel, Astrotrain, Sideswipe, Gears, Hardhead, Skullcruncher, and Scattershot), I got some major nostalgia feels transforming him for the first time. I’ve got him beside Starscream right now and they look sooooo great. The wait for Skywarp to complete the trifecta will be excruciating. Imagine the black and purple paint on that guy…. <antonio_banderas_mmm.gif>

Ah yes, as is evidenced by the very few isolated cases as reported here. Irrefutable evidence!!

ShowZ won't be sending mine until they get back from holiday in a week. Rats. But in the meantime it is exciting to see all these TCrackers. And very heartening to see only a couple issues so far. Some paint blemishes, a missing thumb, etc. I was afraid the gap between Screamer and Cracker was going to be too short to make any improvements. But compared to Starscream's thread this has been overwhelmingly positive reports. More excited now.
And I'm glad I'm using Toy Dojo for Skywarp this Christmas. Got to be less stressful shipping one time zone over than across the planet during the holidays.

None of them should have left the factory like that. I'd be willing to trade mine plus cash for one without the paint or any other problems. Even if you can return it it's another quality gamble.

Mine has no problems after a few transformations. Seems like there are a lot less cases of cracking at least

I received Thundercracker a few days ago and something held me off from opening the box, until now. Guess my gut feelings were right.

Somehow Takara let this through. The entire piece on the left side of his upper shoulder is either covered in an entire layer of glue, or a super, SUPER thick clearcoat making it extremely fragile to paint rubbing. I can literally wipe it away with just a soft swipe of my finger. Not only that, the entire flight stand is missing. Goddamnit.

Just got my Thundercracker. A cursory inspection and everything looks fine. No QC issues, thankfully.

Yeah that's pretty indefensible. Small stuff you can forgive, but that should never have left the factory.

That's the worst paint I've seen on any Transformer figure.

Seeing that you're in The Netherlands too, where did you get him from and how much did you have to pay in total? I ordered from ShowZ and they'll likely ship him to me coming week.

Received mine today from Robot Kingdom (I’m in the Netherlands too). Wasn’t even touched by customs interference or extra charges, which is a HUGE wonder. Thundercracker was my very first Transformer ever back in 1984, and I always hated the lack of articulation, combined with the partsforming, on the G1 seekers, so finally having a perfect version is SO great. Of course, I do still have to open the box and check the quality…

I know, it’s so weird! I’d already asked RK to mark value as $50 usd (which they did perfectly!). All customs forms had been filled in properly and were legible. Even so I ended up with normal charge-free delivery, after three days held up in customs(!!!). Lucky on that account I guess. Still anxious about opening the box though!

I finally worked up the courage to open mine after getting the kiddo down last night. After both my copies of SS had cracks on the stabs I was pretty leery of this one. I gotta say though, aside from the knees being a bit floppier than I'd like, this feels like a huge improvement. Overall solid paint apps, so much so that when I put him on one of my displays, I felt like this one pops even compared to SS. Nose cone required far less force to manipulate, no cracks in the stabs or feet to be found. Fewer accessories, but this is so good it boggles my mind how SS could have been such a QC ridden nightmare. This was such and improvement that I'm honestly considering SW now.

Don't know yet, I found that on Friday and I assume people don't work at weekends.
