Damn I really hope it's not to hard to get that coronation gear. I wonder what'd happen if we sent them our box tops from outside Japan.
A) I also don't really care about the coronation gear and B) Since Hasbro is "officially" offering these via EE and PULSE etc stateside, I can all but guarantee they'll have some system for US fans to get the parts too. Hasbro still releases plenty of stuff for the USA only that never gets officially released in Japan, yet for some reason, TakaraTomy can't even sneeze without it being available the next day on PULSE

This is a really dumb way to force people to buy all 3 Seekers (though they probably figure most will anyway), but for me, the most insulting part is that for the price you're paying they STILL can't be assed to have a cloth goods cape with a wire in it. Hopefully a 3rd party will right this wrong. But why is it the only property apparently even worthy of actual fabric capes either Hasbro or Takara has the rights to is Star Wars? Even Marvel Legends gets crappy plastic capes.
How are people in the mindset that it won't get a stateside release? It's Hasbro, they have Pulse now where they are officially offering the seekers, and they love your money. Don't get it twisted, the coronation will be available outside of Japan. Either way, let's see Skywarp, hopefully they include some kind of warp effect!

Marketing gimmick/strategy. Pure genius in that they can gauge the demand and avoid unnecessary bank breaking inventory.
Trying to understand the grift here apparently, buy 3 figures submit the product codes and win a chance to get a free set of accessories, that you have to pay shipping for. Yeah, I'm not seeing the grift, it would be better if it wasn't a lottery, that way you reward the people who regularly buy your product, but I'm not getting all the whining about it.
Hey mods, @aniline also deserves news credit for this, they shared it first in the MP-52 thread: Masterpiece V2 Starscream Coming! It's way too early to get worked up about how this is available in Japan, except for those of you actually living in Japan. I'm sure this will be available through Hasbro Asia, either with Skywarp or available separately. There are complaints where there are too many accessories, this is the first time we're getting accessories separately for an extra price, and I'm all for it. I hope they'll do more accessory packs like this in the future (assuming this one will be easy to get).
This reminds me of the robo points promos 35 years ago. And yes, I don't see any grifting here. If you are JP based, paying shipping for a free item is a no brainer.
Actually, when I first read I thought it was pretty cool. We're never get promotions like that stateside again, but it's kind of cool they still do stuff like this in Japan. I could understand being a little worked up if they totally redesigned the coronation wear, but this is basically mp11 leftovers.
So they're literally forcing you to get all three overpriced Seekers for the coronation gear. What a piss-take. Just include it in the box, you con artists. And Skywarp is also MP-52+ which totally isn't confusing and stupid at all~ There are more than two countries in the world, you know.
Well, 3 seekers does add up to it more or less. Like collecting robo points. How are they forcing you?
