I’m hoping they drop even more I wasn’t able to pick one up because of money constraints but if these things drop closer to 100 bucks I’ll come up with it
Well I’m not saying I only want to spend 100 but with the price being 160 now I can imagine if it comes down to 130 I’ll bite
I will have a deal of 2nd MP52 Thundercracker & MP52+ Skywarp.Just receive pics of these 2 back & front. Was wondering if have some difference of KO & Authentic but the box shape & stamp at the bottom. But I heard some case the buyer bought an authentic box but KO product inside. Please anybody have any ideas.Much appriciate
I'd suggest having a look in the KO thread, as you'll see how those come packaged. Yours has ties in place, etc. that make me think it's the same as the official ones I purchased on release. But if the KOs look like that, too, then I'm not sure...
I know 1 of the KOs have these square holes in the pelvis. That’s an obvious giveaway. Not sure how many KO versions there are tho.
The Eagle KO has those squares through the pelvis. But the "fake KO box" KO does not have them. The Eagle version is easy to spot with those squares so @Tri Nguyen 's photos definitely are not those. But still not sure if they are genuine or KO.
@Tri Nguyen This is a video unboxing the KO-KO not the Eagle KO. If yours looks like this, then it could be a KO.
You cannot actually test if the wing tabs in on the back when getting photos from a seller, so that doesn't really help a lot of times. It looks like a lot of the KO Thundercrackers didn't get their elbow painted at the joint. But I cannot say that is a 100% statement that no KO got the elbows painted properly.
Don't know if it applies to these but check the Takara Tomy stamp, KO companies try to be cute and either don't copy it exactly or put and extra space between a letter.
I have the Takara tomy starscream and KO thundercracker and skywarp. KOs are really nice and the only difference I could tell was with some of the tolerances. Based on a few YouTube videos I've watched on the KOs, the colour and plastic of the blast effects is quite different. It might be a good clue to help you determine.
The KOs have pee-coloured rather than orange canopies. The photos you posted @Tri Nguyen look like official ones based on that.
Thank u guys for sharing your opnions. Did somebody see the authentic MP box with no embossed numbers.Today when I checked the bottom of the box of these 2 items MP52+, one box has embossed numbers, the other does not. The picture he sent me all these 2 seems legit and he bought at the same place.
US (Hasbro) versions do not have embossed boxes and they are legit. I had the same questions when Skywarp was released. I bought directly from Hasbro Pulse and the box was not stamped and came with a black outer cardboard sleeve. -imest
Could you send to me your box. This man told me he bought these 2 same time & same place.TF source. Thanks
Sorry, they are in storage. If I get a chance I will, but don't hold your breath. My 5 year old doesn't let me have "me time" anymore, hence why they are in storage. Just got done playing with DX9 Omega Supreme with him, lots of fun and big, so I was less worried he would break something. Why not contact Hasbro Pulse, or TFSource about the US retail Masterpiece Transformers box emboss? Pretty sure they would confirm, as they want to make the sales. Just my 2 cents... -imest
