This is a beautiful piece, i f**king love it. And on the other head you could put a Magnet under the cockpit and have it add that g1 toy look.
Great piece as all of your other work and it still floors me over a week later how this could come in 3rd place.
FYI, the resin head was purchased off of Ebay from seller: artelokokustoms. Probably Arte Loko on the boards. Good idea! It probably be a bit big. Unfortunately the black antennas no longer rotate, a sacrifice to hollow the head out into a helmet. No prob, I did see your sweet Blaster tho! I went with panel lining as a way to add detail and some sense of a little weathering to what would otherwise be a dreadfully bland white figure. Maybe I went overboard, but I was in a groove (no pun intended). Thanks to everyone for the positivity! I wasn't intending to get contest sympathy. I enjoyed even placing (the other Skyfire was neat too). I take entries to Botcon to show them off in person to 1000s of people. It is also a good deadline to motivate me to finish. I kinda agree that the categories need to be changed. There are too many for 2D art (B&W, color, computer generated) but only one for Custom figures. The should add categories for Custom Transformers Figure Repaint, Custom Transformers Figure Heavy Modification, Non-traditional 3-D Figures (paper, fabric, plushies, macaroni, whatever, ...), and costumes.
