Just got this from my local supplier. Just like my other Datsun bros reviews, I will not go into the details of the transformations and the mold itself. We all know it is awesome. However I want to touch on a few things as I go along.

The box is the usual MP packaging ad following the route of MP12T Tigertracks, Silverstreak himself is an artwork, not the actual bot toy.





The coin this time is the usual fare, it is basically the same coin as Streak, but with overall blue accents.




He comes packed with his instructions, a kick ass bio-card and a sticker sheet with 2 autobot symbols. One big and the other one small.





Vehicle mode is gorgeous!



Mine has no or not noticable paint sloppiness, I am impressed.

Two things that I want to touch on is the paint and joints.

1) Holy hell, the silver paint is awesome, and it has a nice glittery sheen to it. But not all the bot parts are covered on silver, only those parts where is hidden but it is negligible. The shoulder missiles are not chrome, but that is not a deterrent for such a good figure.









2) His joints are TIGHT! One would figured after a long use of the mold, it would have deteriorated, but it is otherwise, I am pleased to report that the paint and joints are to notch.

Conclusion? Is you are a MP completist, get it, you will not regret it. It is worth every penny.
If you just want to own jst one Datsun mold, look and Prowl and also Smokescreen. Decide which looks better for yourself. Either way, you are guaranteed of a very good toy.

Nice review! I didn't notice any difference, but is the face remolded? I mean, is it like what they did with MP Tigertrack or is it the same face that MP Streak has?

This may turn out like MP-10B and YOTH where the "just another repaint" is trumped by the execution and it becomes a surprising must-have.

 

Sharing mine   no regrets here, I just hope we get that blue one.

 

It looks like they actually used gray plastic for the hands, cannons and inner legs. I wish they'd used that color plastic on the normal MP-18 instead of that "not-brown-but-not-quite-gray" plastic on those bits.

when you opened it and seen the metal flake paint job...now..BE HONEST...did you shat a lil bit? I had no idea it was a flake job..My wife would have clubbed me when she found the laundry after I opened it.

Wow that looks much better than "normal" Bluestreak to me. It's just an aesthetic triumph. The shoulder cannons really punch up the exclusive value, too.

 

Is there any kind of bio for him? Some have been speculating that he's supposed to be a different character from Streak/Bluestreak...
