    For the arm:

Hold the forearm firmly between your thumb and middle-finger, then place your index finger behind the elbow joint and push it forward. That should make it click into the front position.

If you're still stuck I'll post a video later.

So cool how they just modded the one elbow joint to allow for the close salute ... it's the small flourishes where TT really excels in comparison to 3P ...

In robot mode, was his waist meant to be extended out as in the correct transformation or was that for alt.mode transformation? As for the tab on the bottom of his ab, mine looks fragile or stress mark-like, so I won't be tucking that tab inside his hip. But as a curiosity earlier, I tried earlier, couldn't tuck it inside, lol.

As for the right arm special joint, never knew that until Sam pointed it out. I had to fidget a few time to make that joint pop forward.

I never knew about it until today, and it works! I never liked the ab crunch on Shockwave because the tab always rose upward showing the hole underneath. It didn't look clean, but now that's fixed. It's difficult to pull it downward on mine, but it tabs into the area well enough.

Take a look at the inner edge of his pelvis and you'll see that the tab is accounted for in the molding.

His waist is definitely meant to be fully extended for robot mode.

It's meant to be closed for gun mode because otherwise the gun flops forward.

Of course you can leave it locked down for robot mode, but that inhibits waist swivel as well as the locking ab crunch.

Yup, that looks good: about as far as it'll come up.
After having broken a fingernail in the past, due to trying to pry Shockwave's head up without pulling it completely off, yesterday I tried the trick DeanML suggested, and it does seem to work, although I did once again pull it off the first time I tried it, probably because I wasn't doing it correctly. But yeah, mine looked like that in maximum locked position.

Also tried the extra elbow joint: that one's just genius! Very tight, so I'd never have found that out myself (I have yet to unseal any of my MP instructions: due to liking working out transformations by myself and using video's when absolutely necessary).

I hate opening the instructions because it can be impossible to fold back.

Depending on the cost, looks like I may get this upgrade kit:

Shadow Fisher isn't playing games I see. No more need for light piping I guess.

Pretty cool. I couldn't resist getting one, seeing as how easy my Shockwave's head comes off anyhow. I don't really like adding third party parts to my official Masterpieces (like the KFC hands), but in this case this is definitely an improvement.

Well, it does give me options. I just want to paint an opaque yellow eye, but don't exactly wanna destroy the light piping.
So... buy 2 Shadow Fisher heads, keep one lightpiped, one light-up, and one opaque...
Oh god I may have a problem.

    Guys,

I'd like to show you, how perfect this mold looks with proper metallic paint job, and a little bigger and wider feet.

The custom paint job and feet were done by a friend of mine – a professional customizer – Gladky. You can watch a lot more photos and a short video presentation here:

Heavy/Scratch: - Gladky's Workshop Masterpiece Shockwave (New feet + Paint)

With his waist and neck fully extended he is now just a smidge shorter than Soundwave (about 1 mm really) and I believe that the new bigger and wider feet also gave him better proportions overall. Naturally he’s now also noticeably taller than Starscream, which is a proper scale in my book ;)

    Bez nazwy 1.jpg

    Bez nazwy 2.jpg

    Bez nazwy 3.jpg

The metallic paint job looks gorgeous in hand and suits perfectly current Masterpiece style (Megatron, Grapple/Inferno, upcoming Sunstreaker).

This is how I believe MP Shockwave should be released in the first place. I’m sure there would be fewer complaints, because with proper finish his mold looks absolutely fantastic!
