I had to drip a little Future into his right hip as he wanted to do the splits with wider legged poses, but now he's fine.

Details like this are why Takara Tomy continues to impress me!

I'm excited to check this out when I get home from vacation, along with all the tips @Dean ML mentioned.

Sadly, Shockwave has not received much attention from me due to his right foot breaking off the fist time I transformed him. That experience dampened my enjoyment. Maybe I'll finally find some time to fix that soon.

Options, I have seen pics of people with the MP with two hands, although I've not seen any version of the character with two hands, especially since the toy didn't.

On Cybertron in the first episode he had two hands. According to tfwiki he lost his hand in the four million years he was ruler on Cybertron.

Thats just tfwiki being facetious, no one actually knows what happened. He has two hands again later in Desertion of the Dinobots, iirc

I believe it's only the right elbow with the special joint because he salutes with his right hand.

As far as how the head locks, tilt the head up all the way and give it a good tug upwards. It will click into place, won't fall back down, and the neck plate will be just about flush with the collar area.

The ab piece that slides down to cover up the trigger has a little tab extension at the bottom. It's there to both easily pull the ab piece down and to catch inside the hip piece when the ab crunch is pushed forward.

Cybertronian historical records state that Shockwave's left hand was temporarily reattached to his arm through an animation error. Shockwave refuses to acknowledge this since doing so would place him in a logic paradox wherein he would be forced to accept that he is a character in a fictional cartoon.

I have made a video a while back showing how to lock Shockwave's head. Hope it helps.

While we're on the subject, anyone have a spare sticker sheet they'd be willing to part with? I'm actually only looking for the toon-accurate stickers, so they could even be cut off or whatever (I don't think they're the most popular choice amongst people so hopefully someone has some!).

Thanks for posting that video, tenkaros. I've had this figure for almost a year now but had always been afraid to force that neck plate into the correct position until now.

Thank you guys for these hidden tips that the instructions (maybe?) fail to explain to us non-Japanese speakers.

This is one of my favorite MP's.

First is Megs, untouchable. Then the Grapferno mold, just insanity right there. Then This guy. he's everything I've ever wanted for Sunbow Shocky.

Thanks for sharing this little secret, @Sam. I just gave it a shot, and it works perfectly.

So the tab at the bottom of the abdomen only comes into use primarily if you're using it in conjunction with an ab crunch?

Yup. It's still useful for aiding in pulling that piece back down when transforming to robot mode, but seems it serves a dual purpose of helping to lock the ab crunch too.

I cannot seem to get that tab to go in...? As for the arm, I still do not get how to get it so that the hand is positioned properly...? I feel rather stupid. :( :D
