The waist pulls up a bit to enable the ab crunch.

    Damn sure close enough.

Although, I still wish his elbows were double jointed so we could get a deeper bend. Still looks great to me regardless.

    It's all Kobayashi's fault.

    That is all.

    Close enough. Heh.

I don't think he feels cheap at all.
Of all the recent Masterpieces, he's the one I'm most excited about and even though I have Quakewave, I think the MP got all the proportions right (cartoon wise).

Finally got mine. Detractors are crazy--MP-29 is awesome. I HAD Quakewave, and I sold it even before MP-29 was announced because it had no soul and character.

The lightpiping was a good decision because the big yellow eye glows constantly without needing to use electricity.

I have to disagree. Quakewave has character. I have the evilly dark t variant and he looks scary. Detractors of mp29 are crazy though cause this looks magnificent. I was skeptical at first and still have no desire to replace quakewave but I'd be lying to myself by saying that it doesn't look great. However i must say that it does look more cheaply produced than quakewave. Not a jab at the figure but just it is what it is. These days in the mp game you can't lose!!! Im so happy these days, be even happier if i can get my Ramjet from tfsource already

That's exactly how I feel. We, the consumers, have yet again another magnificent Shockwave to choose from. And the best part is that he is different than the other two incredible releases! It's the definition of Win-Win!

Okay, maybe the feet themselves, but the rest of the legs are pretty spot on to me. Excellent pose, Liminality! Il

Gahh! I can't wait to get this guy! Hurry up already AE! My shocky's still in the outward office of exchange or something. :(

So what's toon-accurate in terms of faction sticker placement?? I know there was animation inconsistency, but was there a more iconic/used placement regarding forearms vs upper chest? My MP display is a shrine to G1 so I'm fretting over this like never before ... :)

Front forearms, and the side of the forearms facing out in gun mode. Nothing on chest. And arguably upside down on the back of the forearms given the salute image, but that is down to preference and may be an error imo.

I never realized how many errors there were on the show. How did those guys get away with all that? You'd think that the art director would at least check their work before they sent shit out to go get colored.

To wait for repaint, or not to wait.... MP Shockwave mold itself is perfect in my eyes. His height is fine and accurate to TFTM when standing next to Soundwave which I'm also happy. The accessories are awesome. But the color, I'm not so sure. I don't know if it's my laptop or that's how he is. So far, every pics/videos I saw, he appeared to be more lavender/blue like MP22 UM gun than purple. I can deal if it's a light purple, but lavender/blue is a little bit off for Shocky. I understand the color purple is very difficult to catch correctly from the camera. So does he looks purple or lavender/blue for those that already have him in hand? I'm using Chosen Prime pic as an example since that how I see it in many pics and videos, more lavender/blue compared to his box pic which I would be very happy if the actual figure color looks like that.

Anyone else planning to use his 'salute' hand to have him bitch slap the other Decepticons? Like Starscream, for example.

    Especially Starscream.
