    Ebay:
Hate the dull gray plastic parts (ears/thighs/feet). Makes it look so cheap. Agreed it would have looked much better painted silver. Yet another figure I'll have to correct. But Lazerwave is already looking to be the inferior one in my collection next to Quakewave and Quakeblast.

And WTF Takara, batteries not included? MP-1, 5 and 8 came with batteries preinstalled. And we're now back to faction stickers like MP-3/6/7? RIP Masterpiece.....too soon?

Post of the day :)  You kinda nailed why I've mostly been keeping away from the boards the last month or so.

I don't really care much about the light up feature except that I love it can be left on without continuously pressing on a button and the pulsating effect is really well done :)  My kids will definitely dig that!

If they are both identical products, then I can see better plastic as a differentiating factor, but the transformation, etc is different AND it's not as if Takara's plastic is very brittle. It's pretty strong.

And at the end it's not even about the plastic, it's the diecast.

That transformation puts even FT to shame.

It could be the camera but the new photo's make him look cheap as hell. I have him on order and I prefer the proportions here to Quakewave... In hand though I'm not sure which way I'm going to lean yet. One of them will be on eBay within the month though.

I really wish this was a slam-dunk from TakaraTomy. I'm afraid it just isn't. And this is from someone who would much prefer an official figure on his shelves.

Damn. I was looking SO forward to this guy!

The finish bothers me a bit. It would be nice if, like many of you have said, there was some silver paint.

No matter how we slice it, he's not going to be the correct color.

I can't, for the life of me, figure out why the Decepticon logo would be a sticker. That one's not engineering; it's just a wtf? The logo's probably my biggest gripe, and enough to turn him into an instant meh. Still, the mold itself, if we judge it on cartoon accuracy, is the winner. It's really good. TT's just blowing it on the little things that make a huge difference to me.

I'm now down to one Masterpiece I'm looking forward to in 2016. C'mon, Primal! Man, I really wish I weren't so picky :cry

    Have fun, all!

Not entirely sure about the colour, but will reserve judgement on that until I have him in hand. And I'm definitely peeved that there are no tampo'd Decepticon symbols on him - I hate having to put stickers on MPs, that's something that should be left to 3P figures and Diaclone homages, although I'm sure they figured that everyone would have different opinions about where the symbols should go. Those two very minor quibbles aside, though, he's looking fantastic! The proportions are perfect, and I can hear his voice just looking at that head sculpt. Definitely looking forward to this one. Quakewave, we had some good times, but there's someone else...

The images make Laserwave look terrible. I hope he looks better in hand.

not really impressed. will wait for the reviews to start popping up.

suppose having both quakewave and quakeblast ups the expectations a bit. no tampos, needs 3 chunky batteries when the others operate on button cells, eye needs light piping, dat lavender...ugh.

really wanted this to be better than the 3P versions I have but I'm just not feeling it at all. this really needed to be miles better than what 3P has offered and outside of an inspiring transform, it's lacking everything the 3P ones did correctly.

YES!!! Usually I don't like light gimmicks because you have to keep pressing them, but Takara fixed this :)
