Masterpiece Prowl out in Australia (and Malaysia)

    I came in to say that Hasbro's Masterpiece Prowl was now out at ToysRUs in Australia, to alert you guys that it should be on its way to America soon, and then I found that it was just found in Malaysia the other day as well...

    The ones in Australia were actually found by TFW2005 member ilikesoundwave (the news credit should go to him), with his photo proof here...

    It is priced here at AU$100, which equates to about US$80 before tax in America.

    We aren't as bad as in Malaysia, but it is still a 33% increase on the American pricing of US$60... because the non-American branch offices have to pay commission back to Hasbro America on top of their own local profit margins, resulting in most Transformers toys being around double the price outside of America. :( 

    Also wanted to note that we are supposed to be getting MP-03 Grimlock here in the next few weeks, but for some reason Prowl has jumped the queue. So no need to panic if you are in Australia and were wondering if we had missed out on it.

    yeah.. in Malaysia, this MP Prowl is sooo overprice.. double the price from Takara MP Prowl..

    Alas.... the price is a deterrence. I bought Takara version at MYR $200 (thats about us$60) . Now TRU here is selling 10 cents short of MYR$400. They're trying to justify the price with a big box it seems.

    Hmm I'd like to replace my classics Prowl with this. Might have to do some research to see how he scales in a classics display with Orion leading the pack.

    What sucks, is that it's another F*#%ING Toys R Us exclusive. So, unfortunately for the normal people with limited shopping resources, all the A**HOLE SCALPERS will snag em up and rape everyone on the resale. When will there be Target and Wal-Mart exclusives for the people that don't have access to a Toys R Us?

    In other news, New Zealand will never get Masterpiece ever again, and retailers still refuse to stock 80% of Transformers anything because they're a bunch of pigheaded dicks.

    It's been mentioned before, but f*!@ Hasbro for using the MP-03 mold for the picture. Absolutely disgraceful. They have absolutely butchered every MP release. Every single one. Can't believe they're charging $AU100 for Prowl. I bought 2 for that price on release including shipping.

    When a store other than TRU wants to carry them. But at this point it may be moot as we do not know how long the Masterpiece line is contractually a TRU exclusive.
