Just thought I'd post with a small problem that my figure seems to have.

The 2 clips on the back panel don't appear to lift high enough to clip in properly. When I do clip them in, they cause the chest to lift up and unclip from where it's supposed to be held.

Am I alone in having this issue? Been through instructions and several you tube videos, thinking I must be missing something, but no luck.

 

You need to clip in the chest harder than you’re doing. It’s a really strong click under the hood.

 

I've had the same problem with its mold mates. The problem for me was that the chest wasn't fully clipped in.

 

Have tried pushing the chest as I've seen on different videos. But just doesn't seem to want to go. Have boxed him up now. Will have to try again tomorrow.

Did you angle the belly flap?

 

Yeah. Think I may have a dud figure. The chest seems to fully click into place but when I try to connect the back panel, it forces the chest up and it unclips.

@IwatchTV , the guys are right. You really have to make sure the ab piece is pulled forward a bit and lined up with the slot as shown above and push down on the hood/chest with some force. You'll worry you're going to break it for a sec, but it'll snap in there and lock tight as a drum. This was a common issue when the Datsuns were released nearly six years ago (can't believe it's been that long!) and a lot of us thought we had duds, but thanks to information shared on this board we got it figured out  

 

You guys right. Un-boxed him again tonight. really pushed hard on the chest and SNAP, he seems just fine  . Probably just me being afraid of breakage.

I'm actually glad that you reminded me about this as my mp-17+ is being delivered today.

 

Just got this in, and he is pretty lackluster, since he isn't too different from regular Prowl.

 

Joints are much tighter.

 

People often sell them loose on Ebay.
