Was always March release with UK retailers

 

Wow. I didn’t get a notification but my order changed to March and the listing says arriving soon. I wonder if it’s a glitch in their preorder system again..

 

Writing was on the wall this whole time

 

North American retailers had them receiving theirs this summer, hence the confusion.

 

I feel like I'm having dejavu. Didn't we have this discussion before?

His actual, TTMall release date has always been March. The larger US Retailers (BBTS, TFS, Pulse) are getting him from Hasbro US, in the black sleeve, so it has normal 2-3 month delay, like every black sleeve release since they started.

Chosen Prime (and Toy Dojo, and I'm sure there's a few others) still get some, or all, of their TTM releases from Hasbro Asia, which releases on the release date.

 

It’s unbelievable isn’t it? Every release we go through this. The release date has always been the last Saturday of this month. I ordered from BBB like Skyfire so I’m expecting to have to wait at least another month.

 

Did you get your release date change email yet? He's been delayed.

 

Well, unfortunately this may cause me not to buy it because i'm tapped out. Too bad (for me).

 

God that headsculpt is wonderful. Still frustrated with the black weapons, but I get that they did that for the variety. Waiting semi-patiently...

 

Indeed it is. I only wish TT would put that head sculpt (in blue) on a toy-deco Skids. The toon-inspired head is executed well enough, but when I think of “Skids”, I still think of the toy I had when I was a kid. The toy head is much more akin to Diaburnout’s than the one they put on MP-53.

I’ve already repainted my MP-53 so I may just get this variant to swap the head.

 

TT front-loaded 2023 pretty badly if you collect more than just G1 MPs. MP Trailbreaker, MPM Blackout, MP Skyfire, MP Lio Convoy repaint, MPG-3, MPM-10R, MP Burnout, MPM-12N and the Canon camera bots all in about three months. I bought them all except Nemesis MPM-12 and I had to take a break from my 3P Legends collecting. Thankfully the rest of the year is pretty sparse so far.

 

Fortunately (for me) the 3P legends market exists to keep my collecting hobby going. The MP shift to the toon design aesthetic has largely pushed me out of TT and the MP-scale 3Ps. The variety available in 3P legends gives me plenty of purchases on the horizon, and I’m finding that I enjoy the smaller figures more.

That said, I like the Skids mold and will most likely splurge on Diaburnout if for nothing more than that head.

I loathe the mp Skids head. Should've been more like the + carbots.
