for LG42 Godbomber, tfs put up more pictures than bbts (including some of combined trailer mode and God Ginrai)...!! edit: sorry, i just realized this is actually the thread for MP37 Artfire (i just followed the discussion link for the article on both from the front page!) - i can delete these pics if it's proper etiquette (somebody lemme know if so), or i can just leave them up for others to see...?
God Ginrai's feet look better in the action stance pose, but still look weird to me in the straight-on shot... :/
Yep. Def buying this guy. Looking forward to displaying the three Fuso's together. Edit: I'll also probably pick him up from amazon Japan since that seems to be quite abit of savings.
Takara has always done it this way since MP-10. They sprinkle in repaints because it's easy to make variations of existing molds. They are fast to make and this quicker to announce. However this doesn't mean they aren't already in the process of developing or finishing up another new character mold (Jazz, Sunstreaker, etc.) They will most likely announce a new character mold before Grapple, Artfire, or a Megatron drops.
Isn't nightstick cyclonus's targetmaster? What does he switch sides or something in a comic? that god bomber looks great, really tempted to get the. Tamara version of prime now!
I'd have thought if they were going to add targetmasters to anyone, they'd start with a repack of MP 28 given that the target master original Hot Rod was a slightly remolded version. All they'd have to do is downsize and slightly re tool the offshoot mold.
I'm not sure why everyone is whining and blowing a gasket here. Most repaints don't hold back new characters. Just look at Takara Masterpieces on TFWiki.net. You'll see that Takara releases a new mold about every 3-4 months. This doesn't count repaints in between. After the first character release of a mold, repaints almost run on a parallel schedule with new mold releases.
I really like Artfire's colors and paint apps more than Inferno. The added details help. I really hope those aren't stickers though.
This guy looks great but where's my dang Dirge Preorder ! !!! I'll probably get this , always wanted an art fire or some sorts.
Oh man, love the look on this guy. Definitely getting him, maybe 2 and keep one boxed. My only notes: 1. Wish he had more detail in the shins, or at least maybe Grapple's shins. I don't have Inferno yet so not sure if the Grapple mold could even accommodate the ladder. Artfire's only media appearance was the manga and would have preferred some resemblance to the shins. 2. I don't have the original Artfire, but do the stickers go on the knees or shins?
Different characters, same name. Cyclonus' Nightstick didn't exist in Japan until the Henkei! Henkei! release in 2008. Randy
I do prefer moulded detail over stickers but MP Artfire is still pretty rocking. The targetmaster looks really good, too. I do wonder if it can fold the head in somehow. All the picture angles very carefully don't show what happens to the head so I'd guess it doesn't.
I'd be really surprised if they're stickers. I'd say it's a very small chance that's what they are, and I'm only giving it that much because he's a little bit of a non-traditional choice like G2 Lambor. My bet is they're tampos.
He looks downright spectacular too me. In the 80s Takara didn't release the 86 movie guys as Targetmasters like Hasbro did, they did Artfire and Stepper instead ~ IIRC they just used the same names of whichever TM they "borrowed" from the Hasbro releases.
