Same way they hide the ladder I would think. Smooth over the laddery detail and paint it yellow and it's a crane boom instead.

It would be a retool but typically it would be smaller and I would imagine it being even more possible to do it that way

    They had me at Inferno!

I had chrome wear out of the box with Hotrod, I just took the pipes and engine off, steel wooled the rest of the chrome off, and gave them a nice meatallic spray job. Looks awesome. No problems with Ironhide yet, but will do the same if some arise.

I love the clean look. I also like minor details like realistic vehicle modes but Im not complaining about this figure. It looks great!

I'm curious if it'll be possible to leave the ladder on his back. Not that I probably won't hide it most of the time but it'd be nice to have the option. I think I'd like it if I could leave Grapple's crane arm on his back (with, of course, the option to hide it).

Looks like the cab back panels rotate upside down and then fold inside the cab, and I assume his head box rotates back into the cab and the backside of it is the cab roof, you can see the air horns on the back of the head box.

I can't wait to see this guy transform, better yet do it myself, looks like the engineering is still on par with the other MPs, if not more so on this guy.

Yeah exactly right - the cab rear sides just swivel in place 180 degrees turning inside out to bring the shoulders to the outside. A few moves brings the arms off the back of the cab sides and into place. Yep in the high res pics from the TTS you could see those air horns on the back of his head and how part of the cab roof folds in two onto the back of that head box. They even cut the folding roof panel in a trapezium shape to match the line on the animation model!! And look how close the other bot back details are - I love that OCD attention to detail that I feel only TT has!!

Shh! you cant say that Liampope , that would interfere with the whole narrative of how the TTMasterpiece designers have gotten so lazy so lazy since MP-22

I'm very annoyed. This transformation screams .. That its very well thought out. Why then wasn't this level of thought and execution put into Ironhide and Ratchet, the but flaps could have been dealt with.

I'm gonna get this figure and its gonna be fun to transform and then I'm gonna look at them butt flaps and be like ... Why?

And don't forget the "3p have much more CARE put into them" or "these mp look like vinils (if i don't wear my spectacles)" refrains ...

I was going to sell my original MP-14, but have decided to keep him to stay in alt mode with my second MP-33.

I'm pretty sure I haven't been this excited about an MP release since Tracks was announced...

I can look at MP-33 and there are no questions in my mind that I am looking at the best representation of the character (for me). I haven't been able to say that for any of the other attempts - he just looks so 'right'.

I just wanted to try my hand at giving him some loose toy-inspired detailing on the legs and front shoulders. I think it makes his bot mode a lot more consistent with the more detailed cab torso. It makes him look more finished imho. I also tried to silver up the bracers.

I'd cut the lines on his shins (leave the block in the middle), and leave his shoulders smooth (but still black). That would be my perfect level of detail, however I think he looks great regardless.

Don't like the lack of side mirrors on yet another licensed vehicle. Both this guy and the nissan vans are missing little real life touches like the prior "real car series" releases before it...
