I really like my Inferno and will be getting Grapple too.... but why are they like Ultra Magnus price?!

I mean, they are not that much more complicated than Ironhide and Ratchet, are they?

 

The ladder folding away was brilliant!

 

I want him so much...but I can't justify to myself spending more than for Magnus. What difficult decisions a nerd has to take...

 

If it's a money thing, just do it. Embrace your nerdiness and eat cheap meals for a week to 10 days.

Well, I have to agree that starving is a small price to pay for a new masterpiece.

If anyone in the US wants to buy a slightly used MP Inferno, I have one for sale. Only been transformed twice, has all the accessories, papers, etc. Only QC issue is the common issue of the left forearm panel not tabbing in all the way. Never bothered to file the tab down to correct it. Everything is in great shape. PM if interested. Thanks.

I got this the other day and first impressions are it is a fantastic toy, but I'm definitely in the "it needs a bit more sculpted detail" camp. I think it's a little bland in some areas and for me this is a negative aspect of sticking too close to the cartoon aspect.

 

I'm really looking forward to Grapple next month but still a bit miffed he cost almost double Ratchet.

 

Kind of pissed I missed preorders from overseas on him(Grapple).............

Definitely makes the wallet hurt more.

Was nice when we didnt get killed for them domestically. I get exchange rates, but its been in our favor for awhile again and the domestic guys dont pass it on to us like they used to.

It's great to see sell outs continue even for less obvious characters.

 

I prefer the previous MP aesthetic, but MP Inferno is one sweet bot. IMO it looks like a collectible, which I think is what people ultimately have an issue with the new aesthetic. I'd be up for this new look on a new Optimus Prime. I'm fine with having duplicates of a character in my collection  

 

MP Inferno has grown on me. I had a few minor quibbles but he is a good design. My little ones like him as well, he turns into a fire truck so what's now to like?

 

Well, in the end I bought him with a small discount, so I ended paying him slightly less than Magnus. Still more than Fortress, but being a imported japanese masterpiece vs an officially distribuited Titans return figure, it was inevitable. Fun fact, I still haven't opened the box because I know than at that moment I'll start to think what bot to buy next.
