Hey, did anyone notice that he has really prominent hip kibble?

 

I'm really glad to see this announced. We all thought it was coming after Ironhide, but I thought Sunstreaker would come after Sideswipe (even though that would require a completely different mould), so I didn't want to make assumptions. I always loved Ratchet, and pre-ordered straight away. If they make a Marvel comics repaint, I would buy that in an instant.

As a Marvel comics reader in my youth? Hell. Frigging. Yes. Marvel G1's greatest hero finally getting some due.

Don't care about the crosses, reprolabels will have my back.

People have bitched about Hot Rod and Shockwave since their reveals. Even with MPs, this fandom isn't happy.

I think it's the same effect 3P CHUG has had: for some, official CHUG will never measure up. And now that 3Ps are doing MPs, same thing.

 

Did you ever think it would come with anything _other_ than a white helmet?

So why not just resign yourself to one of the many solutions available to you?

Ironwill does NOT look better IMHO. At least not for any MP shelf.

 

Or it could have nothing to do with 3P and people just genuinely don't like the figure based on their own reasons.

Fair enough, but that's not the point. The same people are spewing the same complaints about Ratchet as they did about Ironhide all over again where the design is concerned, like somehow this - a very clear, obvious & expected REPAINT - would be any different at all. Bitching about the whaa whaa hip section or boo boo window'd forearms yet again is just fucking redundant. THAT'S the point. These people are basically just going back to copy their banality from the Ironhide thread and pasting it here.

 

I like Ironhide, myself.

People forget how good we have it now compared to the early days of MPs. A thousand repaints of MP1, the ridiculous design for MP3, the mess that was MP5...sometimes you need perspective.

I think it's quite evident that MP's have gone to a new direction since Magnus. You can almost call these MP v3.0. Just a different aesthetic post MP-10.

I'm actually surprised this guy already went up for preorder (which I did), but MP Ramjet isn't available to order despite his reveal. Different timing for the Mall exclusives, maybe?

As for the other guys, Lamborghini will probably let them do Sunstreaker, especially since he's the Countach's signature color. Hound, well, HasTak has a good relationship with Chrysler, and Jazz is a matter of time (and Porsche sorting out its legal dilemma).

To be fair, the same people complaining about Ratchet over the same things they complained about with Ironhide, is no different than the same folks that praised Ironhide now praising the same stuff with Ratchet.

Fwiw I think Sunny will make it at some point but I have no idea whether Lambo will force their hand to make him a fully accurate lp500 with a detachable booster or whether they'll give a shit at all and let them do what they want.

Jazz I keep hearing Porsche have issues but how do ppl know this? Am I missing something or is this just Chinese whispers based off the failed Alternator prototype? I think it's far simpler. Jazz is a BIG hitter. Why shoot your load early doors and get the AAA characters out at the start for fear of the customer losing interest. I fully expect Jazz to come. Probably covered in silly fake livery.
