YOU WILL NEED MEGATRON
MP Starscream 3.0..... with extendable neck for mp-36 to grab. Make it so Takara
If you needed him you'd take the chance on shipping it direct from Japan, but since you only want him, you're paying too much.
No, I don't understand.
I knew someone who was so excited when he was waiting for MP-05. I guess this is how it feels.
Look at the seller. If it's not Amazon Japan that may be why. I noticed that when I tried to order before.
Nah, the 3 newest (artfire, primal repaint, godbomber have been pretty much impossible to order. Right now Trypticon is showing the same message but it's still early, Megs was up door a while till orders opened.
I bought MP-5G, Apollyon and Despotron through BBTS and all of their barrel plugs came out with a simple twist. Funnily enough Apollyon's barrel plug was in my coffee table drawer these last two years so if it helps at all here's what he looks like with his plug back in. All three plugs looked more or less the same attached to their respective figures. If you scroll down on Megatron's order page there's also an extensive description of the legal requirements to sell him in the US including the plug dimensions.
Lol...I feel this should be a sticky at this point, it comes up so often.
The bottom line is, yes, a number of people have, and no, we have no idea how Amazon Japan decides what can and cannot be ship internationally. Hell, based on other members' conversations, even Amazon doesn't know the answer. Seriously though, it just seems totally random for anything prior to Megatron. However, what is consistent so far is that anything Transformers related that is releasing after Megatron seems to be blocked (Artfire, Godbomber, Trypticon, all TLK figures).
Some figures, like Grapple, and I Delta Magnus can STILL be purchased and shipped internationally, so it's not just an "all TF's" kinda thing. Likewise, other companies' products, like Sentinel and Kotobukiya that are still in pre-order for release later in the year can still be shipped internationally, so it also doesn't seem to be a time sensitive, or "uh oh, glad we caught that" kind of correction/mistake.
Great info! Thank you. I love the prices at amazon.jp and buy from Japanese sites all the time so I am not worried about returns. This will help keep me from going crazy.
Interesting that the only semi-controversial Transformer to import is the one that seems to have no issues being sold outside of Japan.
what makes you think customs will seize it? very unlikely
apollyon already had those applied at the factory
In Canada, many people find it very funny/ironic that Americans need an orange plug on their toys, because they have too many real guns all around.
thats what im worried about megatron going thru customs without the orange plug.. they had my grapple for a day in customs , maybe it was just bad timing but the box was retaped but the toy container wasnt opened.. so im cool with that. US customs can open my megs as long as they dont take it.
Good way to smuggle real guns with an orange plug in it. hahaha.
So sad that i won't be able to buy from amiami.
They can't lower the price of the item to avoid tax nor can't they send it as a gift.
So i'll be paying way more including shipping cost and then import tax going above both the item and shipping cost.
US customs pass incoming mail/packages through an X-ray machine. They will flag it if the toy was shaped like a gun. But again, Megs will be in robot form.
was this confirmed shipped in robot mode? shockwave was shipped in gun mode. if it is shipped in robot mode, then that lessen my worries about it getting taken.
It doesn't matter who did the plug on Apollyon, the important part is that is what the plugs look like installed and that they are easy to remove. I actually hope that you're correct because Apollyon's silencer plug took a bit more effort and it's likely that MP-36 will have a plug on his silencer as well. If it comes out as easily as the plugs on Despotron and MP-5G because BBTS installed them then so much the better. In either case non-MISB collectors should be just fine ordering through BBTS.
While it is a nice touch TT has done with the abs, it's hardly a deal breaking sell point to negate the others. Either way I'm glad to have the choices and will end up with two great takes on Megatron.
Seems like others have addressed this but I don't see anything in the list or description that indicates lights. Nbd to me, just saying.
It's just a few more weeks until we actually find out is Megatron will release April 1st. Only Shipping Invoices will tell.
