I'm not sure how many need the UM reissue but I'm sure Megatron will make some people happy.

 

To buy a second Megs, or not to buy a second Megs....that is the question I'm pondering.

 

Oh man oh man... that IS the question...

 

If we get no new MP announcements for February this weekend, then I'm buying a second Megs.

 

I wish I had an extra $300 lying around.

Plasma  I knew a guy that paid for his ps2 like that. Let's just say he gave a lot.

 

The Megatron reissue has been known since the 1st run sold out within the first few weeks. The Ultra Magnus reissue is surprising. There might be an announcement incoming. Galvatron? Rodimus Prime V3? Cyclonus? Kup? Springer? Arcee?

 

Hopefully, everyone who wants one can get one this time. He's a lovely mold to own.

 

Oh, man, like everyone else I'm hoping this Ultra Magnus reissue means another Movie/post-movie figure is on the way! I just ordered a second copy of MP UM last week, actually, and he seemed readily available.

Reeeaaally tempted to pick up a second copy of Megatron, too...

 

I'm hoping for Kup or Arcee and maybe an MP-28 reissue too with better chrome!
A second Megatron sure is tempting, if people haven't picked one up yet now is your chance.

 

Takara are teasing me with all these Ultra Magnus Reissues. He doesn't fit into my S1 & S2 focused collection but he is such an awesome piece that I can't help but want him!

 

Are you going for it, Sam? I think I'm gonna lock a preorder in. I think in the long run I'll end up kicking myself if I pass up the chance to own another copy of the best figure in the line for less than $200. He's up now at HLJ but if he's available through Amazon Japan I'll probably go that route.

 

That is a quick turn around on a reissue for Megatron. I guess people really liked him...I'm still very much on the fence, I wonder if they'll fix any of his paint issues?

 

Magnus fits in beautifully with the S1/S2 bots. Did you ever see Scramble City? I like to think he arrived to Earth at a time when disguise was no longer so important, hence his battle trailer (though his detachable cab is still a disguise of sorts).

More imporantly though, a Magnus in altmode at the back of the shelf really slimlines the collection - remember he can carry up to four cars. Very useful when you have a couple of new arrivals at once but don't want your other half to notice (like Sideswipe+ and Sunstreaker)!

I don't think so, I'm happy enough with one copy for now (and so is my wallet!). Maybe in two or theee years down the line at his next re-release. Wanna keep my funds aside for Blaster / Trailbreaker / Hoist or whatever awesome new MPs next year will bring.

Remember folks HLJ put plugs into their MP-36, if you want to avoid that hassle better wait for AmJ or AE.

Re-issues mean there is a good chance there will be a repaint shortly afterwards.

Shining Magnus and Safety Megatron anyone?

This would be an ideal time to buy Magnus, but part of me is reluctant. I'm concerned they'll do a new MP Optimus Prime some day and Magnus' MP-10-based cab won't match him, so they'll release some new version with the toon faces and a new cab with blue windows.

It sounds less silly in my head.

 

Get off the fence my man. Seeing is believing with MP36. He is by FAR the slickest MP I own.

 

I think Prime v3 is still a ways off and if we ever get a new Magnus mold it'll be waaayyy down the line. Can't recommend the figure enough. Limited articulation but makes it up for it in engineering, gimmicks/accessories, and character/personality. Definitely in my top five MPs.
