    Nice pictorial review, dude!

I've only transformed mine once but I love the transformation. It's involved but everything makes sense and nothing really flops around during transformation. But you should definitely take the time and not rush through it or you WILL scratch some paint.

Wotafa's quickly become one of my favorite reviewers. He's great at showing and explaining transformations and features and I like his humor.
Being able to understand helps though.

I tend to like the Japanese reviewers they come across as being genuinely happy with what they are reviewing

I'm hazarding that your satisfaction isn't high on the priority list when working for slave wages in a 3rd world communist dictatorship ...

I just turned him into a gun for the third time...getting easier each time but it can cause a little panic when all those panels aren't going the right way. I only used the instructions the first time, too.

I really, really like this guy.

Not really a QC thing, but I'm having trouble attaching the stand to Megs' butt. Any pointers?

Mine was apparently delivered to my house from Amazon.jp today (a day earlier, in fact, than was initially quoted), but I unfortunately won't be home until the weekend...

Didn't think it would branch out to sarcasm. Figured it would be helpful for people who have questions on it who are afraid to transform it. But I guess so far so good.

Is most of the figure painted? Are there any unpainted parts that have metallic specks in them? I like those specks

I am about 3000 miles for my Megatron at the moment but if memory serves the metallic fleck paint it's mostly contained on the head chest and arms

Got mine from Amiami after originally pre-ordering from BBTS precisely because I was afraid of customs doing something. Fortunately Takara was smart enough to package him in bot mode, so customs just sees a robot, not a gun. So no problem for me at least.

That's how I feel after having just transformed him for the first time. It is not a fun transformation, especially compared to the recent MPs like Primal or Inferno/Grapple. No mind you, outside of a couple panels here and there where I was a little worried, about 95 - 98% of the time I was not afraid I was going to break anything. It's just complicated in a not-fun way. I mean it's understandable why he's complicated and I don't mind it, but I am in no rush to repeat the experience.

I did consult the instructions the the entire way through, and I did have issues with the same screw the OP mentions.
Most of him is painted, like 85 - 90% maybe? There are two types of unpainted plastic that I can see - light grey to match his grey/silver main color, and a lighter gunmetal or brownish grey that matches the painted grey stripes on his feet, versus the darker gunmetal grey of the fusion cannon. It may be hard to see in this pic, but to my eyes at least the unpainted light grey plastic does appear to have the metallic flake of the painted parts, while the gunmetal grey seems to not have it.

Are there any improvements to this one. The MP-5 was so freaking fragile. Have anyone transformed him? How horrendous is the transforming?

It is a fun transformation, it's really long, but fun, you just need patience, it doesn't feel that you are going to break it as the MP-05.
