Hound has been delayed to the end of 2019. We probably won't see any more of him until late spring or summer.

 

15 days ago I shared your optimism but now I’m thinking he may be omitted entirely from Generations 2019 - he doesn’t seem to appear in any of the recent price lists that go beyond Aug 2019. Am guessing there was no sign of him at Tokyo Comic Con either or it would have been posted here

If I have any complaint for them really is not to pull this sh!t again like they did for Prime and Hound. Well still be waiting almost a year for Prime and who knows how long for Hound. I could understand if it was some grand agenda, but Prime in August and Hound most likely Nov/Dec makes that even less likely. I'll be even more upset if they were scheduled like this so they could still alternate with BW.

 

It might be just a conclusion I came to after reading that BW Megatron was delayed to April and Prime is due in August. Coupled with the fact that when we first saw Prime and Hound they didn't have numbers attached, suggesting the release schedule was not finalized.

I suspect that if Megatron had stayed on schedule and was still coming in January, Hound would be releasing in April as MP-44 and Prime would be 45 (still in August). But they can't run the risk of keeping Hound before Prime and running into further delays that might push Prime into 2020 and cause him to miss releasing during the anniversary. Prime's release is set in stone, Hound's is not.

The fact that Takara used that image from the Movie of Prime, Hound and Sunstreaker exiting the shuttle where Prime is in the foreground, Sunstreaker is in the background and Hound is between them I always took as a hint that they intended Hound to release between Sunstreaker and Prime (and that they did reveal him when they did). But Megatron is screwing everything up (seems legit).

Can't say I'm too upset, he was never really a character I was particularly looking forward to. I was happy when he was announced because he pretty much verified the line was still going on despite what the doubters were saying. Wheeljack+ was the real apple of my eye, yes, even ahead of MP V3 Prime and Hound. He looks stunning, like how he should have been in the first place.

Once again fugly beast wars figures ruining the day!

 

 

If Takara's Hound is going to be delayed to another year out (and any real world + variant even further out), FT should do another run of their's.

 

I just realised that Takara toon MP39, MP44 and Hound were meant to recreate this scene. The last 2 Ark Autobots who accompanied Optimus before his last moment, and before the cast was replaced with Hot Rod and co.

 

Beast Wars figures are the only thing original and exciting about the MP line nowadays...

 

Last I checked, I've been able to buy everything that TT has announced...
