If Takara are willing to release both, why not? Make everyone happy :D

Right about now I'll take either. Toy or rerelease. I'm not picky.

Not waiting for the reissue, then. I bought the KO so I can have a desktop bot. When Takara announces the reissue, I’ll buy it. The KO will do plenty to hold me over til I get a second but improved official one

Same here, except I went with the 4P version that's supposed to be a bit better built. Gonna be a bit more of a wait but with everything I have on pre-order and the rest that's in my stash at the ready to be shipped out, I could care less, haha.

Knowing Takara, we probably won't see a reissue until at least a year from now. If that ends up being better built, instant buy, and this Hound will probably be sold off or whatever I figure out for him to do.

Probably not worth update for you guys but been transforming this guy a lot and I intended to heavyhand on the notorious breaking parts , but so far no new crack appeqr yet , and the tolerance is much easier to manipulate. 16115582215466351959731322150567.jpg

I wished Hound wasn't such a crack addict.

Soo bit of a stupidly pointless question, but any word on the actual reissue from pretty much anywhere? Also I heard there's 3 different KOs for Hound, mind tell me bout them so I can start looking into them?

Nope. No word. Why not check the third party section of the forum which will contain the threads for the KOs?

Well it finally happened to me. I thought about transforming Hound back to alt mode...I won’t be doing that now. This is a 1st release with only one transformation that was prepped with shock oil and a hairdryer.

Damn shame but I can only hope TT makes this right. MP-47 (QC issues aside) is one of their best.

I transformed my Hound back to robot mode a few days ago. Mine is still doing fine. Zero cracks. I have one defect though as mentioned before in this thread; the panel holding the spare tire broke off earlier, but that was my own doing, I'm fairly certain of that. Would love a reissue. Hound has an intuitive transformation, is really posable and looks great. One of my favorite Masterpieces.

The thread is here: KO MP-47
There was more information about the two known versions maybe 4-5 weeks ago(?), maybe more.
If you don’t want to read the entire thing from the beginning, I’d start around there.

Nope. @Phamduc was told he was being sent a reissue copy but it turned out to be from the first run.

Everyone told us their figure is fine ends up developing cracks. It's a curse.

I got my Hound yesterday from a supposed 2nd run. I’m not sure if the 2nd run is supposed to be a bit more sturdy or not, but I spent over two hours *very* slowly transforming the figure, being terrified at multiple points during the process, having to shave a tiny bit of plastic to get one of the arms to lock into position at the shoulder, etc. This would definitely be the most stressful Transformer I’ve ever owned. The plastic is so thin, feels brittle, etc. I’m really glad I got him into robot form for my display, and I’ll never transform him again.

He definitely looks great, but obviously the design isn’t very good if you actually want to transform the figure regularly. I actually got Arcee yesterday too, and she was so much better (less stressful) to transform! If you don’t *need* a G1 Hound for your display, I’d avoid this figure.

I put mine in storage once I found a Maketoys Gundog 2Y (which is arguably my favorite transforming figure in my entire collection). After transforming MP-47 back into a Jeep, I honestly felt inclined to stomp on it. I haven't decided its ultimate fate yet, but I truly detest that toy.
