Aw shucks, thanks for the feedback guys. I really wanted to give him a go. I don't even mind gluing broken pieces, but guess it's not worth the risk if we're talking about feta cheese crumbles.

Money saved, as then I'd want to buy back MP-18+ to give him a shooting effect too! Thanks for that @Xaxis (if you wanna take a pic with Bluestreak's effect I'd be ok with that too  ). Good to see they're using a standard size now for the effects pieces.

 

Mine is still intact... Only transformed once though, but I did take apart and reassemble the jeep gun...

You're welcome for the pic! I was going to include some with Bluestreak's effects parts, but they didn't really stay on Hound's Jeep mode gun.  

Also, I wouldn't say that they've really standardized the effects pieces. Prime's blast effect fits into the barrel of Hound's pistol/hologun but it's a little loose (and the peg on Hound's hologram cone is slightly too big to fit fully into Prime's blaster).

 

Hes worth it to me. This is my replacement copy and I spent 2 hours wd40ing him in all the pin joints and any tight spots. I havent transformed him back but hes still good.

 

I kept mine and still like him as well...warts (cracks) and all. I might have been able to plead my case with AJP, but he hasn't developed any new cracks in the past month-and-a-half, or so, and he's surviving just fine on the shelf. I think the days on TF'ing him are long gone due to some cracks around the ankle rocker pin, though.

 

Ya hes superb and a sight to look it. Honestly I rarely transform my guys anyways. They mostly look nice in their glass tomb. I will repose them time to time.

Ah, I actually meant Bluestreak's effects but with the little MP-44 adapter he comes with (I think size-wise that might look better with his gun, MP-44's blaster effect is quite chunky).

Well that's a shame they didn't standardise them then!

I don't transform as much as pose, but for a bot Hound's size I would like to be able to transform him every now and then without worry. At this point I'm still undecided, maybe if the price goes down and I see a good deal somewhere I'll give him a go.

 

I fear the ankles as well, as that's where I had some issue fiddling with it, but nothing was forced...

 

Mine developed three tiny hairline cracks just standing on the shelf. They don't appear to have gotten worse, but, I'm concerned one day that ankle might just crumble. I've considered...half seriously...encasing him in a block of clear acrylic in a perpetual swimming pose with the diving mask deployed. Lol.

 

Hmmm... Might as well get the Ocular Max Rumble and do the same to immortalized their one fight from that one episode and make bookends... Really expensive bookends... Lol

 

Great idea. I was trying to think of things to include in the diorama...want to do it right...only going to get one shot at this. I need to include an LED in Hound’s head so it lights up too.

I so hope they reissue this guy or at least a repaint this year, since they're reissuing Lip. Maybe you colors and tampos.

Damn I sure do love 18+'s effect pieces.

Would definitely be nice to not have to wait too long. Sunstreaker's only getting a reissue now and he came out at the end of 2018, so we might have a while to wait. Ideally Hound's reissue will also be paired with MP Cliffjumper!
