Beautiful photos and fantastic presentation! Very nice work! My only critique is that’s not “Hologram Spike” as many reviewers mistakenly have stated. It the hologram driver from More Than Meets The Eye episode 2. Spike: “Who’s he?” Hound: “He’s nobody, he’s a hologram!”
4/5!? Really? It literally crumbles in hand because of a faulty plastic. LOL It could have its 4/5 stars if and when TT will reissue it with all its problems ironed out
those hinges at the side of the torso that are for folding the wheels into the torso that are prone to cracking guess what i have fucking cracks!! not touched it for about 2 weeks or so or whenever it was i come in here to say i still had a good copy , i checked the whole thing over with a magnifying glass and torch everyday before putting it back in my display and then left it because i thought i was ok ... so it's not a case of good or bad copies it's a case of time before the fucking cracks start to appear mine was pretty much perfect apart from a couple of small cracks on the panel hinges at the back of the legs which incidently have a new crack on one of them lower down on the hinge that was not there when i last checked it AS I'M FUCKING TYPING I JUST NOTICED A SMALL CRACK AT THE BACK OF THE FUCKING HEAD STARTING TO SHOW WTF!!!!!! too late for me to send back to tfs express too it's well passed the 2 week period so this is 100% the last time i pre order a takara masterpiece unless they show they are getting their fucking shit together with qc until then takara can shove it with a rusty pole
I gave the materials a 2/5. Supposedly it could be less, but my copy is perfect still — no cracks, stress marks, etc. He scored high in the rest of the categories (which I still stand behind) that kept his overall score up.
Thanks for the compliment You’re right. Manual says hologram figure. I think I pulled it from one of the online stores, TFSource.
He’s certainly a beautiful looking figure, but I can’t justify the money on something that has such sketchy QC, and has cracks appearing. I may have a bash at the inevitable re-issue - IF it gets better reports on plastic quality and durability.
Can you not return it anyway as not fit for purpose? Believe UK law states you have 30 days to return for a refund, 6 months in which you can return for a repair, if they can't repair you get refund.
Unfortuntely my Hound developped a crack at the front hinge. I managed to put a bit of glue in the crack and moved the hinge a few times without resulting into a wider spread. My MP-47 is still functional ...
Ack! in before someone suggests it's you're fault or something to do with climate conditions... incidentally we live in the same city soooo.. I best not get one either if it's the air doing this shit! This absolutely sucks, and if I had got one (nearly did) and it had happened to me id be f**king livid. I'd hope you could go back to TFS-express and ask for a refund/replacement. It's a known issue and my experience is they are pretty sound about this sort of thing. I'm with you on the never pre-ordering again. I'm less bothered about method in which TT flagellate themselves but I would like to know how aware they are of the issue and what they plan to do about it.
Hope it won't crack again. This is the part that Has been giving me the biggest headache as well. Glued mine a few weeks ago but there's a new hairline forming on the other side of the pin now. More glue to the rescue!! XD
