Here's the number from mine from Bigbad. Has anyone gotten a dud from them? This one seems solid so far. 20200124_123448.jpg

Ooh, that's a Hasbro number! I think the first one we've seen.

Starting to crack on his own back of the neck. I haven't touched him in a few weeks or at least since my last posting here.

I think you can do something about it, like Ambitron did if I'm correct. Unscrew, sand the pole then lubricate the joint. Eventually fill in some glue in the gap.
    You should be fine

Thx, I'll give it go. I don't really care that much since I wont transform him for a long time. But when I get a moment I can unscrew and glue in the gap. Hasn't fully broken which is good.

Otherwise, my Hound is fine....so far....

Every single joint lubed with silicone oil, neck hinge screw removed. Fully transformed, flawless. :)

Cool! Definitely keen to see how yours goes. I may be tempted to get another from BBTS if all goes well haha.

I'm still wondering, have any of the Hasbro-sleeved ones, which I'm assuming here sold by the American shops, had any breakages?

Yup, I've got the same crack on mine, literally identical, only after two transformations as well!

So I returned my copy back to Amazon.jp and they refunded the purchase price and original shipping amount . My question is how do I get the money back for the return shipping since I shipped it back USPS and not DHL?

Yep, you should be able to make sure it doesn't get any worse - I actually just widened the hole at the bottom (where the crack is) rather than sanding the pole. The hole is hexagonal at the bottom, which seems to be the issue:

Is there a sure-fire way to remedy all this snap, crackle and popping? Can you dip Hound in warm water before transforming or are you just SOL if you got a bum copy? I really don't want to go through the painstaking process of returning him to Amazon Japan if something goes awry during transformation. I've had him for several weeks, but after reading all of the horror stories here, I haven't transformed him to bot mode yet.

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to avoid issues. At least warm him up and go slowly. If you have silicone oil, use it on all of the tight joints. I have had to disassemble and ream out some of the pinned joints to loosen them up since oil and repeated use just weren't doing the trick.

Getting really tired of nearly every MP release potentially requiring hobby skills to perform maintenance on. Prime's knees, now this. And yes before anyone says it, I understand it isn't affecting 100% of copies. But in both instances it's definitely affecting enough that it's a valid and rational concern pre-purchase. Especially with prices rising. As such, I keep just sitting them out unless it's a lower priced offering like Bee 2.0. :(  Bummer. I refuse to perform surgery on my figures.

    Oh well.

Everyone's photos are absolutely beautiful and I as usual love the design. Masterpiece in every sense of the word. Not feeling comfortable buying him doesn't diminish that in any way. The new gallery just put up is exquisite. Amazing, amazing piece.

I agree with you. I really wanted to get this guy, but with everything coming up I didnt order him. Even at the discount AJP had a week ago. I'm pretty handy hobbywise, but I refuse to pay that much and have to perform surgery or prerequisite maintenance.

Dang haven't been keeping up, didn't realize Hound has issues, amazon.jp hasn't even ship mine out yet though, was there not enough made for the initial release of it? Maybe I should cancel then...Have to agree with the folks on MP's why so much QC issues, is it cause where it's being produce?
