Mine is too but not sweating it, it has happened previously when they are busy. Remember they only just opened back up on the 6th January so would be dealing with a post Christmas backlog.

I'm also waiting for them to get back to me with Takara's response on my faulty MP-45. Will be following up with them tomorrow.

Just open mine, have no time to transform yet, but so far no crack spotted when unboxing. Without allnof this Qc problem Takara Tomy really really nailed it. Really great detail and mechanism. Will transform it to bot mode and will never transform it back ever again.

Finally got around to transforming mine after owning it for a week. Puckered me up in a few places following a couple online reviews while doing it. Some of those hinges just don't want to move too well. Finally done, and thus far, no cracks, paint scuff, flaws, etc. So now it goes to sit on a shelf for the rest of its natural life.

I’m glad you brought this up. I’ve been wondering the same thing. Could it a play feature for a future release? I’m thinking of getting a 3P stand with a port large enough to hold Hound. He’s light enough that the weight won’t be a problem.

Just gave mine another looking over after him just standing around for a week - this was after seeing the reports about some just splitting doing nothing. Thankfully, all I can see are mould lines and no actual cracks, not even on the neck/rocket rig. Even so, I can’t say I feel very confident...

Nope, mine is perfect too. The ankle issues were nowhere near as widespread as the issues on Takara's release. I decided to pick one up just to review it, and happy to say that my Hound is issue free (small paint blemish on the nose of one face) but this is hands down one of the saddest threads about a figure I can remember.

I know we're not allowed to post links offsite, so here's an extract to my review over on Anime Independent (link to the site is in my sig I think for the full overview and gallery)

Let's try and finish on some positives. It's the first figure in the entire line where I've wanted to change the stoic face for one of the included spares, with Hound's confident smiling face providing a more faithful representation of the character. He works very well with the cartoon rendition of Bluestreak due to the pair sharing a matte paint finish and engaging face-sculpts. When you start to pair them up, you can see Takara's vision for the line a lot more clearly. Hound is very appealing, and you'll want to pick him up for a fiddle, but doing so feels like a major risk.

Ultimately this is a very clever figure that's perhaps too ambitious for its own good. Takara's paint has never been very hard-wearing, so for as long as I have this figure, I won't really want to touch it, and transforming it is completely out of the question. He'll change poses every so often on whichever shelf I place him with his cartoony brethren, but it pisses me off no end that Takara has now effectively branched my collection into two. This means I'll likely never feel I have a "complete" set of either style, while being charged handsomely for the privilege. Gits.

I love Transformers, but after MP44 Prime's price-tag made me feel mugged, Bumblebee's awfulness having been such a kick in the nuts and now Hound taking my readies and threatening to suicide at any moment, I don't think I love the line any more.

Weren't the Autobots supposed to be the good guys?

To be honest this is the first time I've had an issue with them! They normally dispatch pretty fast but 8 days being prepared? Definitely not on considering I had an email a week to tell me MP45 needed paying although it had been delayed!

I did am and pm checks yesterday, and I'm still only a neck screw down. I'll have another look when I'm home from work, and if I'm all clear I think it's time for a few rounds of back and forth between modes for certainty. Then I'll leave him a few days and survey the impact it has on him. Only then can I be satisfied it won't disintegrate

Mine arrived from AE last Saturday. I literally haven’t even dared to take it from the shipping box, let alone open it. I’ve been nervous before when opening MP’s but this is absurd... I shouldn’t have to be this worried.

See this is also another problematic atttitude. You SHOULDN’T have to fix their products. You buy their products, I hope, with the intention of being completely functional and ready to go out of the box. Customizing it for your own preference is one thing but you shouldn’t have to do any functional fixing for them to get them to work. Does TT pay you for this?

Sorry for bad pictures, transform him for the first time . Everythint went smooth, no over tight hinge, and most important no crack at all. I spend an hour to check , check back thia thread to see the part that usually crack and can't find any. Odd enough my local seller said he only received 1 complain, hairline crack. No problem with other copy. My box number is K1219

It's not a "problematic attitude". It's quite the opposite actually. I could bitch, and whine, and complain, and moan, and remind everyone how TT is the devil, and overcharging, and blah, blah, blah. But instead, when issues do arise, and there's a simple, cheap, and readily accessible solution that takes all of 15 mins of my time to correct, of course I'm going do that instead.

You are correct, I shouldn't have to do anything. But why take away my fun and joy of the product when I can spend minimal effort to bring it back to 100%, or sometimes even better than new?

Totally! This thing should be issue free out of the box...but I'll be damned if I'm not going to try every fix I can to keep from having to send him back.
