Too late on buying MP-47 for me (mine survived the first transformation)... I’m considering swapping him out for Willis.

It's something in Wotafas video with the hairdryer, I'm guessing for stiff joints so as not to crack them?

I had originally planned to cancel my preorder but I was too late and ended up getting him today.

I'm still partial to the hybrid toy/toon look but 47 far exceeded my expectations (perhaps I was expecting the worst). Getting to bot mode is easy enough if you take your time. I did not find the plastic to be cheap by any means. I was especially impressed by the foot and leg transformation. Most of the screaming faces in the MP line look terrible (imo) but Hound's is second only to Megatron. Neutral face is fine in person. Mine has zero paint blemishes or cracked hinges that I can see. If you like the current MP trend and can manage to get one with minimal QC issues this release will not disappoint.

I do like how everything in the box except the extra mirrors and the hologram cone... thing can store in/on the jeep mode.

    Evolution of Spike

@Xaxis would you let me know if there's magnet in the market that fit the peg holes under Spike's shoes?

Hound and Spike reporting for duty, Prime!

    31F6FC95-3B5F-41E6-A3BC-50BC7153C696.jpeg

Transforming him went well and I’m happy to say I have a copy that’s 99% free from major defects and paint issues. The only crack is on the part where the shoulder cannon arm attaches:

    818911B0-CDB8-4DDF-A2FB-97CBC949E576.jpeg

I loosened the screw there, suspecting perhaps it was over tightened, and I think I’ll just glue the crack. (@Magnus2355 sorry to see about your issue. Did yours even have a screw there?)

Those instructions could definitely have been better. I use Google’s translate app to get a translation, which helps make sense of the photos. Some of the steps are pretty odd, like rotating the rear gun 180 degrees more times than necessary.

In any case, the transformation process was pretty smooth and fun. Some steps with the feet seemed difficult until I figured out what the instructions were attempting to communicate. Once I did, everything fit together very well and I love how all the panels and parts lock into place nicely.

The matte paint has a nice feel to it and I’m in agreement with @chchchch that the finish could contribute to the perception of “cheap” plastic.

Hound is a fantastic figure and has met, if not exceeded, my expectations so far. Welcome to Earth, Hound, you’re gonna love it here!

Hiya, @oku! Of the ones I have in my magnet collection, there's a 1/10" x 1/16" disc that is just barely too big. Looking at K&J Magnetics' website (the vendor I ordered from and that @Agent539 linked to above), it looks like that's the closest diameter and the holes in Spike's feet would need to be enlarged a bit to fit them.

It's possible there's another vendor that has a size that's a perfect fit, but I'd have to search that out. Here's some photos of the ones I have (Item DH11 at K&J):

I’m also figuring out a possible plan for a neck magnet as I’d love for that part to have a more secure contact with the body.

I hope they post photos of the alt modes side-by side. Individual shots don't give a clear indication of how much smaller MP-47 is, and I'd really like to see what TT accomplished in that area compared to the predecessors.

Also, is that really Gundog's stock windshield? I'm guessing there's a frame piece missing. If not, ouch.

I guess that settles the AMZ JP packaging vs. the TCP bubble wrap debate.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that post! Wow, that's a pretty impressive difference and 47's robot mode is actually a little taller. I absolutely love what TT accomplishes with their engineering!
