Guess we wont see a new Vanette mold for a while, since they went with Ironhide on the back of the box. No more Prime welcome to the team shot either, meaning its probably bluestreak and bee on Bees box. Is kind of cool they use a Megatron shot.

I'm still flabbergasted by the design choice to have the rear tires fold in thirds to fit in the shins.

But it completely wrecks any chance of the inevitable KO ever having rubber tires... unless they make only the front tires rubber, which doesn't seem likely.

 

I’m so excited for this figure. I’m really excited to see the transformation and see how he goes from a tiny Jeep to a fairly tall robot. He looks so clean in both modes. My only gripe right now is that his winch doesn’t have a chrome option. I loved it on Inferno and Grapple and I love to have a tiny bit of realism to my cartoon toys

 

I see what you mean. I guess that the engineering appreciators are more the market than tactile sensationers.

This MP would be perfect for a lot of fans but I'm picturing this guy in a darker green with chrome and that big rifle. What an amazing Masterpiece that would be! If they could put the wheels on the feet he would be perfect to me  

 

Man there really hasn’t been a toy plus in a while. Maybe they’re waiting to do a duel release drop. That’d be something. But as sad as not having the toy rifle it does make me feel better that it could imply a hound Retool.

 

I made two separate statements. One had nothing to do with the other.

Let me try to better clarify my second statement - Before MP-47, we never had a Masterpiece release who's tires would 'break' into multiple pieces to 'better' hide away. Sure, it's clever, but the designer probably could have come up with a better solution. This is the type of over-engineered design solution I would expect from a 3rd party company, not Takara.

 

I don’t see it as over engineering. I think you just miss rubber tires and this is taking it away from what you’d want. It’s a great way to fit inside. But it just means that you and others won’t get the rubber tires that you like. And I’m sorry if that means a lot to you, I’d never know. But it is not over designed like a 3P.

 

Sorry, this is what I expect and demand from a TT Transformer, pushing the boundaries and innovating. This is them thinking out of the box and finding another way to do things, that other people never would have thought about doing. This is where they shine over all other Japanese lines, the ability to go "mad scientist" with their transformations.
