This is what I was thinking. People should be able to dremel out a hole for a neodymium disc and then put a natal plate under hood. This should avoid scratching. I guess we will see if we even need this.

That's from the original reveal, from last year. Hell that's zoomed in more than it will be in real life.

Oof, no hating from me, I promise. Your original post isn’t specific enough in how it refers to the neck connection, there were already a few people in this thread claiming we didn’t know about the armature last July, I assumed you meant an angle which shows the armature itself.

Apart from the photo @jackisking just posted, we also had this one:

    Shows the paper-thin gap too.

I think the most important part of your recap is that you said Takara hadn’t addressed the gap issue, but actually they had.

Not only have the nexk gap issues been properly addressed, we're still looking at prototypes that haven't been fully toleranced. I really can't base an opinion on a show copies that have an established history of mistransformed, hand-painted figures just to generate the hype.

I like that the hood will be unbroken in root mode. For TT to even consider going that route took some guts. Sure, they thought about the old "head going through the hood" routine but that armature NEEDS to be there for the rest of the figure to accomplish the look. Those humanoid proportions tick all my boxes and to toss on the insane articulation we've been recently blessed with?

Glad I have two coming to me.

Would have been nice to have a telescoping steering wheel to hide it a little.

    His floating head isn't a flaw...it's a feature:

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that I don't understand Takara's thinking on this head issue. So they wanted to improve the overall accuracy of the sculpt by giving him a head that didn't involve a non-canon trap door on the hood. But they did that by including an giant ridiculous looking non-canon armature off the back of his neck?? I feel like this is a class example of cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Much like Hound, I’m keeping my head grounded, and I’m sure that while Hound has his head in the clouds at the moment, he’ll snap and lock into reality when we need him to.

It may end up being a non issue, but the neck gap bothers me. I like how the fig looks but I would not be able to look away from that gap.

I thought Takara mentioned the armature but not neck gap. My bad!

Hanged is correct. Hung is for inanimate objects.
